Dinner was very good. The meat and fish were very good. We were suprised by the nice vegetables, which is quite exeptional in restaurants. The rooms did not have TV: we considered that absolutely super! (having all the times in mind being kept awake due to the TV noise from other rooms). The rooms provided a lot of space. The room had a view over the village, including a large window in front of the bathroom...which didn't have curtains. Although the staff assured us "it was not a problem", we didn't feel comfotable going to the toilet and in the shower in front of the village (especially not in the evening when the light had to be turned on). |

The ambiance, good food, friendly staff - even in the quiet season. Not easy to find from the east - but that's Madeira's poor signposting. |

The peace and quiet, and to see village life in Madeira. Good local walks far from the madding crowd. Very comfortable hotel for reading with many well lit lounge areas. Lovely small garden with amusing crazy golf. Very friendly and helpful staff. Less than an hour's drive from the airport. A beautifully appointed hotel, very comfortable and relaxed but a little bit let down by its dimly lit restaurant with its limited menu. |

Degelijk hotel om noord Madeira te verkennen. Enigszins sfeerloos hotel mede door een vrij donkere eetzaal en donker ingerichte kamers. Bijbehorend restaurant aan de prijzige kant. |

L'hôtel est accueillant dans son cadre de verdure. Si sa salle à manger située dans la partie la plus ancienne est un peu sombre, l'ensemble de l'établissement est lumineux et les chambres spacieuses. |
