We liked the location of the hotel in the Alfama District and the proximity to Castle Ste Jorge. We also liked the artistic decor of the hotel. Our room had a fantastic view overlooking Lisbon and the Tagus river.

This boutique type hotel is a little bit on the expensive side (we paid 129 Euros per night), but the room we got was huge, very well decorated and with a great view! It was quiet and very romantic. We received good advises from the staff, which was extremely friendly. If we were to go back to Lisbon, I think we would book the same place. A little bit on the expensive side... But still very very good!

The hotel has a great location right in the heart of Baixa historic center, very close to the St. Jorge Castle. The design is very special and the view of rooms overlooking the river is great. The room was a bit damp and we had to air it very often and turn on the A/C

Wonderful room and view was in this hotel. There were two big balcony windows and nice windows in kitchen area However you can't call this kitchen- it is very comfortable sweet corner with cheers. Hotel staff presented me a bottle of sweet Portuguese alcohol for my birthday. Design of room was amazing, many pictures on the walls and great amount of books. Staff on the reception was all the time very kind. Superior hotel!!!!!!!!!!!!

The place in general was good, although not in center and in the hill so it was a bit hard to go after long day by walk. But our windows were looking at castle, so each evening we could clearly hear the concerts of differnt portugeese music, taken place there. Poor breakfast. No lift and the receptionist doesn`t help with the laguage to go up to 4th floor.Difficult to find the hotel.Internet is payble althought it`s written that there is free wi-fi.

Excellent location downtown the old town of Lisbon on the Castle San Jorge hill at 5 minutes walk from the riverside, musea and shopping area. San Vicente Room with magnificent view over the city and river and very sunny + the facility of a small office corner in a very quite neigbourhood. Great helpful staff; strange enough all foreigners and no Portuguese. (I thought the unemployment rate in PT to be pretty high) Breakfast was included in the price but was somewhat disappointing. They called it 'le petit déjeuner français' a bit poor in comparison to the comfort of the hotel room. The Portuguese owner of the hotel was pretty unfriendly, he completely ignored me when I was checking out after 4 days.

The location of this little hotel is excellent. Just steps from the Castle, and walking distance from the center of Lisboa. The hotel is uniquely designed with paintings by the owner, and some of the rooms have fantastic views! We emailed the hotel and asked for a (standard) room with a view, and we were given the Chiado room which has marvelous views of Lisboa, the river and the bridge. Incredible. The staff is very kind and helpful as well. We'll stay here again! No Wi-Fi in the rooms, but in the lobby. They wanted to charge 5€ to use a cable. Also, the breakfast rate is quite steep considering how inexpensive food is in Portugal. We went out for breakfast.

The hotel location was superb, near downtown and near the Castle of Sao Jorge with splendid view. The rooms were spacious and beautiful decorated with modern paintings and bright colours. We had one room with view towards the river and downtown and one towards the street/ castle wall. We had no trouble with noise and found the stay very relaxing. Very nice with a coffee machine in the room with river view. We very much appreciated one of the male receptionists, who was very helpful and nice. The beds are far from soft, but this was the case in all the hotels we stayed in Portugal.

Good location next to castle, nice restaurant and wine bar close by. Taxi had problems to find the street though. Rooms clean and view nice. Friends had recommended the restaurant next to the hotel and after we booked table there hotel staff told us it's not a good restaurant and they would not recommend it. Despite the negative comments, we enjoyed the restaurant. Just bear in mind your own judgement.

The room was spacious and wonderfully decorated. Location couldn't have been better for seeing the sights around Lisbon. Very relaxing and great views of the castle and neighborhood. Close to Castle (2 minutes) and Santa Luzia Church (5 minutes). Both with fantastic views of the city! Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. WiFi available Hotel not well marked. My wife and I walked by it twice before noticing the small sign by the door. No elevator although after walking the hills of the Alfama District, whats a few more stairs? In our opinion, the breakfast was not worth the 14.50 Euros...there are plenty of pastry shops nearby that cost a lot less.

Fabulous location. Small, and excellent service. It is still a bit over priced, especially for rooms on the road side - rather noisy We found it a bit expensive for what it provides - especially if you are on the noisy side. The location is excellent as is the service. Internet connection would be a plus. Breakfast should be included.

Nice view from the riverside rooms, interesting decoration with lots of art - not your everyday big hotel chain place. In the middle of old Alfama, near the castle. Nice and personal service as you would expect from a hotel that's small. Sound insulation could be better - our room was one floor above the lobby and we could hear the front door in the night when people would come in.

The room was well designed In general I found this hotel to be overpriced and not so great. There were works taking place in the common area so I was asked to take breakfast in my room. I was in the cheaper room without the view so that option wasn't so nice. No internet in the rooms themselves and I found one of the staff members to be quite rude. They wanted to charge me 20% to check in a couple of hours earlier when not a single person was staying there. I checked out early from this hotel and stayed somewhere else.
