Stylish-Boutique hotel overlooking Lisbon and 3 minutes walk to the Castle. Very stylish large rooms with arty feel , modern bathrooms in heritage listed 19th century-renovated 6 storey building - beware no lifts/elevators however staff will carry all baggage to/from suite. No restaurant but lovely light breakfast included in tariff. Several very inexpensive restaurants nearby. Reception staff/manager excellent and very obliging - fluent english and prepared to prebook onward flights arrange transfers etc. We would stay there again - that is always the best test. no elevators and steep stairs - baggage not an issue but be prepared to climb stairs to your room several times a day = not a problem for the average mobile tourist - critic is 60.

When we arrived Thomas, who is wonderful by the way, offered us two other choices in rooms if we wanted to upgrade. They were in two different price points and due to the magnificent view from the top floor room, we decided upon the most expensive room. Thomas did offer us a discount on the room. The view from the roof top deck is breath taking, looking over the city and onto the water. We had our evening appetizers and drinks there every day and really relaxed, taking in the beauty that is Lisbon. The location is right by the Castle and we were happy with the area's closeness to the town, restaurants, etc...however, it is on a hill so you do get your exercise in daily. The staff is wonderful and extremely helpful with recommendations. The room with the beautiful view did come with some downsides such as the pitch of the roof in the room, particularly the bathroom making it difficult for my husband to stand in the shower, but we saw this before taking the room. The plumbing in the shower needs to be replaced, the shower handle not staying in place to take your shower. The room also was not well insulated so we were rather cold in the evening and the room became very warm during the day, but this was a minor thing.

the location was just perfect, although the hôtel was (a bit) difficult to reach on foot. From there on, one could easily reach any part of Lisbon worth a visit. I had the Alfama room: I opened the window and I had a very nice panorama in front of me.The staff was very nice and helpful.

The room was well designed In general I found this hotel to be overpriced and not so great. There were works taking place in the common area so I was asked to take breakfast in my room. I was in the cheaper room without the view so that option wasn't so nice. No internet in the rooms themselves and I found one of the staff members to be quite rude. They wanted to charge me 20% to check in a couple of hours earlier when not a single person was staying there. I checked out early from this hotel and stayed somewhere else.

Excellent location downtown the old town of Lisbon on the Castle San Jorge hill at 5 minutes walk from the riverside, musea and shopping area. San Vicente Room with magnificent view over the city and river and very sunny + the facility of a small office corner in a very quite neigbourhood. Great helpful staff; strange enough all foreigners and no Portuguese. (I thought the unemployment rate in PT to be pretty high) Breakfast was included in the price but was somewhat disappointing. They called it 'le petit déjeuner français' a bit poor in comparison to the comfort of the hotel room. The Portuguese owner of the hotel was pretty unfriendly, he completely ignored me when I was checking out after 4 days.

The location of this little hotel is excellent. Just steps from the Castle, and walking distance from the center of Lisboa. The hotel is uniquely designed with paintings by the owner, and some of the rooms have fantastic views! We emailed the hotel and asked for a (standard) room with a view, and we were given the Chiado room which has marvelous views of Lisboa, the river and the bridge. Incredible. The staff is very kind and helpful as well. We'll stay here again! No Wi-Fi in the rooms, but in the lobby. They wanted to charge 5€ to use a cable. Also, the breakfast rate is quite steep considering how inexpensive food is in Portugal. We went out for breakfast.

The hotel location was superb, near downtown and near the Castle of Sao Jorge with splendid view. The rooms were spacious and beautiful decorated with modern paintings and bright colours. We had one room with view towards the river and downtown and one towards the street/ castle wall. We had no trouble with noise and found the stay very relaxing. Very nice with a coffee machine in the room with river view. We very much appreciated one of the male receptionists, who was very helpful and nice. The beds are far from soft, but this was the case in all the hotels we stayed in Portugal.

Fabulous location. Small, and excellent service. It is still a bit over priced, especially for rooms on the road side - rather noisy We found it a bit expensive for what it provides - especially if you are on the noisy side. The location is excellent as is the service. Internet connection would be a plus. Breakfast should be included.

Wonderful room and view was in this hotel. There were two big balcony windows and nice windows in kitchen area However you can't call this kitchen- it is very comfortable sweet corner with cheers. Hotel staff presented me a bottle of sweet Portuguese alcohol for my birthday. Design of room was amazing, many pictures on the walls and great amount of books. Staff on the reception was all the time very kind. Superior hotel!!!!!!!!!!!!

A amplitude do quarto, claridade, vista , a cama extremamente confortável, decoração do quarto.

“It was my husband's 60th birthday so wanted some where special. The hotel delivered on all fronts and even went as far as delivering champagne to our excellent room on his special day. We shall certainly stay again and recommend the hotel to our friends. The staff are delightful and so helpful and friendly.” Daphne, Lagos |
