Solar de Mós  

Nice gardens and pool area. Traditional Portuguese decor, but not tired / dated. Fantastic buffet breakfast with wide range of choices. Very friendly staff. Air con in rooms a big plus.

My wife and I spent a fantastic week at Solar de Mos and would like to have stayed longer but unfortunately, we had commitments at home. Our hosts, Carlos and Lina are definitely two of the most genuine people I ever met. Whatever you wanted, you got. The food was delicious and believe me, there was lots of it. Friendly staff, always on hand, well able to converse. There is a total sense of well being in the hotel.......Im going back.

I would be the first to complain if something was not right.....but I got nothing bad to say about this hotel.

Room was clean, staff was friendly and always willing to make you feel welcome.

The hotel presents itself not as a 4 star hotel like advertised: various objects in the room are really showing their age and need to be replaced. However the staff is doing thei rbest to keep the rooms clean and tidy. Breakfast area is quite small with the tables so close to each other that you can bearely find your way through. For breakfast the same food is offered each morning, however the offer is diverse enough so you have where to choose from if you want to try diffent things. If you want to have dinner in hotel's restaurant you have to let them now by noon. They also have some thematic dinners on fridays (prawns night) and mondays (piri-piri night). On monday we could not join because of arriving/departing schedule, on friday we did not join because of the prices which seemed too high compared to the restaurants in the city.

Lovely hotel with friend staff who were very helpful. Room was comfortable with everything you needed and with a beautiful swimming pool and nice restaurant/bar area it was great. Breakfast was good and what was needed. Lovely stay overall and would recommend it to couples definitely!

It is about a 20minute walk from town for restaurants for dinner etc which wasnt great when it rained or if you were tired. However, there may be buses that run there - we didnt investigate this option but could be worth it if you were staying for longer or had young kids.

Comfortable room with space, homely atmosphere

This is a small confortable hotel very well located for visiting West Algarve and not far from Lagos city center and its lively evenings/nights. Hotel staff and owners are very kind and deliver a good service.The hotel is very clean. Good swiming pool where you can really swim.

We stayed at this hotel for one night, and that was our best choice out of 6 hotels we spent our honeymoon in Portugal. Of course, there is nothing special with location just the vila nova lagoons, but the hotel service itself was very good. The staff has prepared our room for a honeymoon stay, the champagne was in place, it was really worth staying at Solar de Mos

A charming hotel with a homely feel. Friendly staff and owners and very relaxing.

Only quibble was the old shower. Although it worked OK, the cabinet etc is definitely in need of replacement.

Good located in private residencial area, very convenient if driving a car. Very friendly personal, I've got a good recommendations about sightseeng points. Big, comfortable and quiet rooms, pretty good breakfast included. In other words everything is really fine about this hotel.

This was our third time staying at Solar de Mos and it just gets better! We are treated with such friendlyness it is a joy to return. Our room was perfect, in a quite location just our of Lagos about 20 mins. walk to get to the sea front. we love it and have recommeded it to our friends
