It features rooms with free Wi-Fi in the historic Alfama neighborhood. All double-glazed rooms at the Castelo feature hardwood floors and a contemporary classic décor. They all come with satellite flat-screen TV and a DVD player. The bathroom has a bathtub and robes. During evenings, Solar’s elegant lounge area with original stone walls is a pleasant place to retreat with a drink from the bar. In the daytime, guests can relax to the sound of splashing water by the courtyard’s fountain. Solar do Castelo is just a 10-minute walk from Praça Dom Pedro Square with its many restaurants and access to the Lisbon metro. Praça do Comercio riverfront square is less than half a mile away. A quiet friendly Hotel in a great location next to a castle. Walking to and from the city centre is not far and is very pleasant but it is uphill on the way back and it is cobbly streets. It would be difficult for women to wear healed shoes unless they get a taxi.

Beautiful heritage hotel and helpful and friendly staff. Really enjoyed the port in our room! And of course, the beautiful ceramics in the courtyard. Well ok overally loved this hotel but since we do not eat a large breakfast would prefer that we could just have a simple coffee and croissant without having to pay a full buffet price.

La décotation de la chambre et de l'hôtel en général, l'attention du personnel, la bouteille d'accueil et les bonnes adresses de restaurant. J'ai particulièrement apprécié le petit déjeuner servi dans le patio, en particulier le jus d'orange frais !

Emplacement idéal et insolite, excellents petits déjeuners et personnel très serviable mais discret. Bel hôtel calme et agréable avec sa jolie cour intérieure où les paons du château se sont donnés RV. Des chambres et des salles de bains vraiment très petites et donc un rapport qualité prix moyen.

La ubicación del hotel es incomoda porque queda arriba en lo alto del castillo. Por otro lado, se podía descansar muy bien porque no había ruido. El personal muy amable y atento. La habitación encantadora. Lo que menos me ha gustado es que no tuviese cocina. Esto hacia que el desayuno fuese "frío" y no hubiese la opción de poder cenar o comer en el hotel. Esto hace que la relación calidad/precio la valore negativamente. El resto de servicios muy correcto.
