Solar dos Marcos is located inside of the Nature Park of the International Douro (Arribas of Douro), which is ca. 10 minutes away from the Douro river and the border with Spain, and it is an obligatory stop-point to stay at ease and enjoy this unique region, which preserves its nature treasures and ancestral traditions, and is populated by friendly people.

We liked the large room & modern bathroom. Also the secure car parking was an asset. There was no evening meal available but we were directed to an excellent restaurant a few kilometers away. |

Wow! The level of service was over-the-top fantastic. Management and staff took such good care. Breakfast was delicious -- lots of choices. Dinners were outstanding -- really outstanding! Rooms were delightful and spacious. Very clean throughout. Off-street parking is a real plus. Nicely done all the way around. Would definately recommend to others, and would book again on future visits to Portugal. Five-Star quality in my view. Thanks Much! |

Lo mejor con diferencia es el personal. La cena estaba riquísima, sobre todo la "olla de masa" (que no sé si se escribirá así) que era de pescado. La habitación bien: amplia, limpia, con aire acondicionado y TV La ubicación. El pueblo no es nada del otro mundo, más bien es un pueblo bastante feo |

Aangename en ontspannen sfeer, geschapen door een uitbundige, enthousiaste manager die zeer dienstbaar is. Bijhorende garage, en kleine piscine. Er wordt lekker gedineerd, en alles zeer prijselijk. Està bien restaurado y el desayuno muy bien. No es confortable, hace frio porque la calefaccion no llega a todos lados y es necesario estar con estufas. Supongo que la poca ocupación no justifica los gastos de mantenimiento.en invierno o primavera. |
