Die Lage direkt am Meer Das Hotel ist recht heruntergekommen, was man vor allem in den Bädern feststellen kann, dringend renovierungsbedürftig! Und leider offensichtlich nur auf englische Gäste eingestellt. |

The hotel,is in a great location,with all the rooms,having a sea view location,directly facing the atlantic ocean.The hotel staff,were very friendly,and the rooms were in a very good condition,and they were cleaned everyday. I myself, will be making a hotel reservation,at the sol d mar,in the future,as i was very happy to stay there.And i am hoping to go back there on 26th january,. I would also like to thank booking.com,for a excellant sevice you provide,i have made bookings with booking.com,to berlin, albufeira recently and have recommened your website,to many people,as a great website,for providing excellant, hotels,around europe. many thanks. |

hotel very clean and warm,very nice and comfortable bar and lounge area,perfect for a beach holiday,breakfast selection very good. staff on reception not very nice in fact quite ignorant.lack of car parking facility |

the spectacular location by the beach and the interesting architecture (reception on the top floor and all rooms with sea view) the poor cleanliness of the room upon check in (found garbage from previous guests). the fact that the staff could be friendlier and warmer. the disappointing indoor swimming pool. |

Very nice location with the beach on your doorstep, rooms were comfortable with good bar facilities and easy access to local town, bars and clubs. Parking facilities are very poor so beware if arriving by car or hiring a car. Breakfast was not exciting and left a bit to be desired, however, there was plenty to eat and you would not go hungry. No Tea/Coffee facilities in room |

Great location in the town center and right on the beach - all rooms have seaviews and you can listen to the sound of the waves as you sleep They have a bit of an ant problem. I'd still go back tho with a good deal. |

The location of the hotel being so close to the beach and old town of Albufeira.Rooms are very clean. The hotel needs t.l.c. It is definately not a 4 star hotel(maybe 20 years ago). The food,especially dinner, is not up to standard and the staff in restuarant are not friendly. |

I think this will always be my favorite hotel in Albefuria. It is right on the beach, super cheap, in the center of what feels like a village but is a town with a large oldtown area. Perfect off season getaway. It is built onto a cliff and there are ants, esp in the bathrooms. I didn't see any near the bed but if you leave food out - they will come. The pool is actually quite small and not at all inviting as it is in a cafe and has nowhere to change. |

+ On the beach and near town center! Loaded with great restaurants and bars. the town is very good for live music. The nightly cocktail specials were great at 3.50 and always tasty. - No wifi or cable internet! (4 stars?). Ants - The hotel is built on the side of a cliff so I guess there is little they can do. Breakfast alternates everyday from from bacon/sunnyside up to hotdogs with microwave scrambled (Yuck). |

Efficient, friendly staff. Excellent position in centre of town, with beautiful sea views from all parts of hotel, especially from our room. Good buffet breakfast included in price. Hotel is beginning to show it's age and the rooms, although spacious, could do with modernising. Indoor pool is rather difficult to access and no pool towels provided. |

Location is fantastic - literally on the beach but at the same time right in the heart of all the local restaurants. Couldn't be better. Disappointed that the 'full English' was only available every other day, as the breakfast alternates between uk (bacon, egg, beans etc) & German (frankfurter sausages) options. Also had regular drain smell in bathroom but was able to keep it at bay by plugging up all plugholes! |

the location is fabulous it's just a little noisy in the evenings with people talking and screaming on the beach at 3 am. Also the hotel needs upgrading, in terms of airconditioning and decor, it's stuck in the 60 's |

Staff were friendly without being intrusive.The location is its best feature without a doubt. The smoking ban seemed to be applied in an arbitrary fashion-why ashtrays in a no-smoking room?Breakfast did not change -tinned fruit in Portugal?! |
