clean and modern, size and everything was perfect for the purpose
I could not use wifi at all although password was put in and apparently connected. Perhaps it was so slow...
Quiet, clean, friendly. Bus line close. Ate breakfast at hotel, it was good. Had dinner across the street twice, Pizzia and Chinese, very good.
Well designed budget hotel with a bit of flair. Rooms comfortable, good bathroom and shower. Cafe was excellent breakfast
A bit hard to get to. You can see it from the main route but, its located within a small industrial / residential area. Keep faith with your sat nav!
Lobby ia uggly and dirty
Staff excellent. Food very good. Rooms v good also. Glad we chose this hotel!
I liked everything.
There was good parking, Location for amenities and coast,
Cleanliness. Good insulation. Noise-free rooms. The hotel away from the main street. The staff is works well.
A small breakfast menu. The hotel far from the city center.
Nice clean room, free parking, easy for those with their own car
A bit far from the city center.
Very comfortable rooms, we stayed at a "family apartment" - two rooms, one double bed and two single beds, basic but modern and functional furniture and decoration, lots of natural light. The hotel has a large private (free) parking, free wifi in the rooms and public areas. We had a large jacuzzi-like bathtub in the bathroom.
A bit far from the center and nearby public transportation is quite limited. Understaffed in the breakfast area which caused some delays at rush hour (around 9am).
The room was great, very comfortable and hotel-like. Big screen TV, coffee and tea facilities in the room, car parking.... It was a great choice in Matosinhos.
Confortable room at an afordable price
A bit far from the center but you can take the bus just 200m from the hotel
I used to live across the street from this hotel, so for me it has a special Nostalgia. It wasn't the first time I've stayed there, and it will always be a first option when I'll need to go to Porto. They have wi-fi now, which is recent, but very practical.
As I said it wasn't the first time on the hotel, anyway was the first time I've tried the breakfast there. In my opinion it doesn't worth the 6€. It doesn't have that many options unless you want to become a diabetic because the major part of the breakfast is cupcakes, personally I don't think you should start the day with that much sugar. Another BAD thing, The lady serving there was the most unfriendly person on heart. As much as I like this hotel, it's a little bit difficult to find if you're coming the first time.
I liked the Italian restuarant close to the Hotel (Tattoria Romano, I think). I also liked the friendly atmosphere and helpful staff in reception and dining. My room was made spotless every day.
not close to a metro but good bus service
cleanlyness of the hotel and the daily cleaning of the room. outside tourist area wherby authentic and cheap places to eat were easily available. easy acess to center and other sightseeign places
far outside city center the prices in the hotel canteen
its a little far from city center
Very well located, instant check-in, comfortable room, noise insulation through the night, great quality of sleep, breakfast with a lot of choice, excellent price, very clean, very acceptable WiFi connection and very friendly and helpful staff
Internet goes off sometimes
Room design. Shower
Location; one night without internet ( the hotel was full and they just had 150 available connections)
- Hotel it self - Hotel room, so perfect - Staff, so sweet and helpfull - Modern
We just lived there one day, but we didn't find something we couldn't like. We will deffintly booke the hotel next time we arrive to Porto
Courteous friendly staff. Good aircon and shower. Comfortable bed
Breakfast was bordering on poor. A little bit out of the way. OK if driving but be prepared for some walking and crossing the busy ring road if in foot.
Alexandre at reception was amazing! He couldn't have done more to make us more welcome, he is an absolute credit to this hotel. Nothing was a problem. The bed was comfortable, the shower powerful. More towels? No problem. Ice? No problem. So many hotel chains could learn so much from Star Inn.
Helpful staff. Close to bus line. Free parking.
Limited number of internet access so could not access in peak times. The air conditioning didn't work.
