The location The appartment full equiped The good value for money
Beware of your room neighbours who can be very noisy...
It is a big apartment, everything is clean. The price and location are very good. Staff is helpfull.
The elevator wasn't working all the time, so we had to walk up to the 4th floor.
-huge spaces -atmosphere -location is awesome
-place could be noisy, but just bring an earplug
everything.. especially location! i felt at home ;) i strongly recommend this house!
Low price (10 EUR/night/person) compared to other apartments in the neighborhood Very good localization - city center, approx. 1 km from Ribeira, Ponte Dom Luis I, Clerigos Tower and Aliados. Five minutes walk to Bolhao market and subway station (30 min ride from the airport). Well-equiped kitchen with microwave, toaster, electric kettle, fridge.I can't think of any kitchen tools that were missing. TV set in common room. WIFI - fast and very strong signal Automatic check-in/check-out system - the landlord sends you an e-mail with codes to all the doors and locker when the keys to your apartment are stored. There is no reception desk but thanks to that system you can arrive at any hour and quickly get access to your room. Two shared bathrooms for four rooms seem just enough to avoid morning/evening traffic :)
If noise disturbs your sleep ask for the room called "Porto Sentido" - the only one overlooking the backyard - not the street. There is cobblestone on the street so cars and especially the busses are making a lot of noise - also at night (this is one of the main streets of the city center although the aparments is situated at its less frequented end). The apartment has no central heating system. Only one electric heater per room. It is cold in bathrooms and other common rooms so take some warm clothes if you're staying there in autumn or winter. This is a renovated old house - so the walls and doors inside the aparment aren't soundproof. Even if you have room from the backyard side you can still be disturbed if some of other guests are noisy. So take some earplugs just in case.
Check In Code System Creative Rooms and Space decor Good bathrooms
Lots of noise coming from the street, avoid this rooms.
The place has the best location! There is a fully equipped kitchen to make your own meals and save money. Shared bathrooms are big and clean, you rarely have to wait to get in. Generally a very good accommodation!
The beds were two single beds, not a double bed, which made it a bit uncomfortable for a couple, and the floor was very cold .
The kitchen is very good, location is excellent. Grocery stores and market are very close.
The doors are a problem. They close very loudly.
Cleanliness, location, price, helpfulness
Because of no heating room was cold and it was impossible to keep the stuff dry.
I like everything!!! A luxury hostel in Porto!
Everything was clean, kitchen is fully equiped, two bathrooms, very nice chilling area. Highly recommended!
Conveniently located and a real cozy place with several rooms. Awesome and very clean showers and a quiet neighborhood. Highly recommended!
Hard to find because the sign outside of the building is not readable anymore and very small. Had to call them and ask them to pick me up in the street.
I loved the location and the feeling of home that this guest apartment has. The staff were very helpful (although they do not have a reception so most communication is by email).
Our room was on the front of the building, and quite noisy with traffic.
We love Stayin Oporto Musica Guest Apartment. this place was very confortable and have good localization. Apartments are clean and so nice.
Great location, very clean, great people working in the hostel, spacious rooms.
i liked everything in the house, it was at the center, easy access to everything, nice atmosphere, fully-equiped, friendly staff, very clean
Two big shared bathrooms for four rooms, room was clean, staff was friendly, good value for money
the checkin can seem a little complex in the beginning since there is no permanent reception and the email with building entry codes, key codes, etc. had only been sent one day before arrival (so if I hadn't checked my email I might have had problems getting in)
Kitchen utilities, wifi works good, autmatical check-in process is good idea and works fine.
The room was spacious with a make up desk and open closet rack. There is no mechanical fan or AC option in the room. The bed foam was comfortable.
Although loation was close to shopping area, it felt isolated. The apartment is a large victorian home with room divided into rental units. There is no reception and most people stay in their rooms, thus, the common areas were always left dark. The place apeared gloomy with the rainy weather. Athough the bed was comfortable, the pillows were flimsy uneven clumps of polyesters. The shower head was set too close to drain and tub spout that it was difficult to stand properly during shower. When the shower head was adjusted, it fell off and sprayed water every where. This problem seemed frequetas evident by soaked bath towels left behind by previous user.
Spacious; friendly cleaning staff; kitchen
Entry to the apartment is by door code, as it is usually unstaffed. However, we were not told of this system in advance (we were asked for and gave an arrival time), and the code was sent to us by email only 2 hours before we arrived. At that time we were travelling, and did not know that we needed to find internet access and check our email before going to the apartment. The result is that we spent over an hour waiting for someone to let us in, before spending more time walking around, losing coins in non-working payphones until we found a helpful tourist office which made the call and provided internet access so we could get the code. If it's really necessary to send the code out such a short time before the guest arrives, surely it would be possible to explain this at the time of booking so the guest knows to find internet access before going to the apartment. Even if this were done, it's still inconvenient - not every visitor to Portugal arrives with local internet access already set up on their phone.
Room is very confortable, bathroom is clean and neat. Location is good. There is no staff at all at the Hostel, so don't forget to arrange your arrival details before going to the Hostel.
Great location, perfectly clean, well-decorated and very spacious. Only 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms to share in the apartment. Well-equipped kitchen. Comfortable bed. Close to mini market and bus stops. Walking distance to the center. Highly recommended
It's terribly noisy at night however, earplugs solve the problem. Uncomfortable poor-quality pillows.
All Staff Cleanliness
The appartment is very nice and elegant. It's very clean and well organized to host several tourists.
It can be very noise during the night due to traffic.
The flat is really sweet - looked like a traditional portuguese home with a modern musical twist. The bathroom is shared, but there are two and I never had to wait. I think there may be around 4-5 other rooms in the flat. The staff were really nice and friendly. It's right by Bolhao, near the market, and super central. We could pretty much walk everywhere.
Despite it being 4 floors up, we could hear the traffic quite a bit! It was pretty loud. Apart from that, the doors slam a lot - but I don't think there's a quiet way of closing them - so they kept waking us up, especially when other guests left early.
