The location of Sweet Lisbon Guesthouse is excellent for transport as the train station is directly across the road, though you would never guess as it cannot be seen or heard and the bus stop inc tour buses is also opposite. Alfama is a wonderful area to explore, within a few strides you are in the heart of a magical experience of tradition food and music. The hosts of Sweet Lisbon are warm and welcoming, ensuring a pleasant stay and that you get them most out if your visit. Our room was delightful and comfortable with an amazing view of the river.

We loved our stay. The only point we would make is that signage on entry to the building was unclear and the hallway was extremely dark.

Staff was very sweet. Location is great, but Alfama is confusing (in a good way). Extremely clean. Lovely.

-cleanliness -location -the style of the furnishings -the kitchen offerings

-no air conditioning -had to buzz to get into the building -had to leave room keys when leaving for the day

friendly atmosphere, cleanliness and coffee and tea facilities awaible to the guests throughout the day

My room was rather noisy both from outside and due to the fact that it was close to the reception. I would also appreciate a baggage deposite service.

The location , the nice breakfasts, the room and shower were great. The building had character. Also, Anna and Pedro were always helpful with travel advice. It was much appreciated.

    Everything was great!!

The staff were very warm, welcoming and helpful and everything was spotless and comfortable. The sea view was a bonus. We were able to use the kitchen at any time of the day, although not for cooking.Tea, coffee and cake were always available and there was access to a printer. Breakfast was varied and generous. We made a good choice.

Unfortunately the restaurant below was noisy for 2 of the 4 nights of our stay.

    Good clean accommodation

This venue is in an apartment block with shared entrance and I found it very intimidating. It was dark on entering and the Guest house is on the third floor. It was difficult to find and a bit of a shock when we saw where it was. I would not advise female travellers alone to book into this accommodation

Having kitchen facilities. Close to sta apolonia station. Helpful staff.

No ventilation in room or bathroom. No clothes rod in the armoire, only a steel cable, very inconvenient for hanging clothes. No dresser-i.e. for putting underwear. No easy chair or desk.

Great hotel for that money. It is more of homelike and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Our room is facing the river and thus has a great view. Will certainly choose this hotel again if we go visit Lisbon next time.

None, only that it hills a bit too much, which is not their fault.

    - The size of the bedroom is spacious for a couple. - The design of the room is nice and having a wonderful sea view. We can enjoy the sun rising every morning. - We accept there is no T.V., no air-conditioner just only fan in the bedroom. There is light music in the sitting room every night. - The shower, hot water for bathing and the environment in the bathroom is good, tidy and clean. - Though not abundant choices for breadfast, we can have a big breadfast in the morning before we go out for sigth-seeing. We recommended them to use a cover for the cheese and ham. - Very near to the St. Apolonia Station and Metro. - The towel provided is soft and feel good to use them. - There are several staffs (shift duty), we met with different staffs during our stay (4 nights). They speak in fluent English and nice to us.

    - The speed on using the internet in the kitchen is much faster than inside the bedroom. - The noise (people who talks loudly in the railway station) is somehow disturb in the evening. The noise ended when the people left. - No private bathroom/toilet is a little bit inconvenient but we accepted. - The light in bedroom seems not enough. We have to switch on all the lights. - A steep slope is very, very inconvenient for bulky luggage. - There are not much choices in food downstairs and has to go a bit further.

The location in Alfama and also not far from city center by métro The warm welcome and availability of the staff The cosiness and charm of the room and the flat in general The view of the river Flat very functional and spotlessly clean The value for money

Nothing. Wifi signal is sometimes weak in the room but in this case you just go in the living room.

It's very nice. We had a river-view room. All hostel was very clean and comfortable. It's about 10 meters to bus stop and about 5 min to metro Santa Apolonia. Reception works 24 hours, they can help you with everything! :-) Good breakfasts and also you can get tea, coffe and some sweets at anytime free :-)

It was a very good location for my visit to Lisbon. The room was very nice with a view of the Tejo river. Great staff, good breakfast, a nice collection of international travelers. I will stay there again when I spend overnight in Lisbon.

Very close to Alfama. Great view of the river. Good restaurants nearby. Dont miss the restaurant Arcaz Velho on the way to the station and the burger and pizza restaurants on the riverside across St Apolonia station.

Skip the restaurant O Faz Figura even if it is very close.
