When we came at night to the hostel nobody met us, although I sent the mail a few days before. Other guests helped us to enter and gave the mob number of the host because the number fixed in the site info was false. When I contacted the host she sad that we were not expected because she had no any info about our booking. That was very funny because we had printed valid booking information and it was ok. The situation was awful because all this story happened at night. I would not recommend this hostel, if somebody booked it , your reservation should be re-checked several times.

I was greeted by Susanna on arrival in the main hostel. She took me to the room just on the next street, they have two floors to themselves in a apartment building. It was clean, comfortable, safe and convenient. The hostel is 2-3 minute walk to marque de pombal metro station, which is quiet central. Free internet, television in the living room, washing machine, iron, well equipped kitchen .. You cannot fault this place.. Susanna was great, advised me on places to visit, has great customer service skills. All in all, i rate it excellent.

I wish there was a lift in the building.

Decent place, good value for money, staff very helpful although not all of them speaking english and very good location.

Thin walls, noise is not prevented. Also noone is there from 12 to 8. When someone came around 6 and persistently ringing the doorbell, i had to wake up to answer the door.. Not cool dude..

The cost/benefit is the best, it was very cheep and we didn't have any problem with cleaning or bedroom conditions (the apartment is good). The employed is very lovely and attencious. Is located at 50 meters of Marquês do Pombal and half km of downtown. Have parking space in the street, payd during the day (0.60 € per hour) but after 7:00 pm is free.

Is an old building, don't have elevator (not so bad because the apartment is on the 2° floor); Each floor have 4 mts high (you will face some big stairs, lol). The kitchen is small, don't have microwave, few utencils (plates, cutlery, etc).

The localization is good (not far from the centre, but calm). You have your room, keys, kitchen and the other things and you may use them as you wish. The furniture is new. So, if you want the place just to sleep, it is good.

The walls are rather thin, so your rest depends too much on your neighbours.

The hostel is basic, you get what you pay for

You get what you pay in the hostel. It's recommendable in terms of cost for budget travelers.

Wifi - very fast, very good and safe location 10 minutes walk to get in center(Police station and post office on the same street, restaurant and cofeteria next door...)

Thin walls, some child learning how to play piano, but he is getting better every day:) 1 toilet in the flat, so I can not imagine how we would manage it if all rooms would be occupied

It's very close to the subway station (less than 5 minitues walking). The room was large and clean. They provided the heater so I didn't feel cold. The price was cheap. I think it is a great hotel and I'll definately stay here if I visit Lisbon again. The most important thing is " remember to let them know when you will come so they'll wait for you at the gate of the hotel."

the wall and door of the room isn't enough to adsorb rumors from the alley and from other rooms.. but is a very little problem!

I have never experienced a more unprofessional staff in my life. Among a group of nine people, Tagus Hostel Home was not able to provide one of them with the proper rooms they had originally made reservations for – at a time when we were pretty much the only guests in the whole establishment. The result of was that some people got overcharged, but discussions with the staff turned out to be flat-out impossible. Even worse, when one of the members of our group chose to go to a different hotel as a consequence, we got accused of fraud! The fact that their office seems to consist of a single drawer probably says it all.

Very good location and price!!

Staff were very nice, for the little I needed of them (leaving my luggage with them before and after my check in/out). What I needed was quiet and they were kind enough to give me an entire dorm room facing the back which was excellent. The place was very clean, and internet was good. Doors are simple and I guess if there were noisy guests around it could have disturbed me, but there were not. The few other travelers were quiet. This is a nice simple place, for a very good price. There is a tinny TV room and a small practical kitchen. I would be happy with a desk in the room, but that is minor.

Once arrived, I met Alexandra(Hi! :-) ), a Russian girl who is working there, she has been helpful and lovely since my arrival as for all my stay as well, giving me some advises and having some chat. The place was more like a sharing-apartment than a traditional hotel/hostel and I really enjoyed that. The room was big as the bed as well. Wi-fi was working perfectly, and the other staff member was coming there every day to clean and/or check. The position it's ok at marques the pombal or Avenida metro station, indeed after the 2nd day I realized that was not necessary to take the metro or buses as was so pleasant to have a 15/20 min. Walk to the center walking through the beautiful Avenida de Libertade. It's not a place for that kind of complainers-customers that pretend to have a grand hotel for some euros(that people should stay at home 'cause they simply want their home), you can have that but you must pay a lot. I will probably book again at Tagus home when i'll come back to Lisbon, hopefully soon! Cheers! Ciao!

excellent value for money and great service!

It is located in a perfet place - near Marques de Pombal Square, almost entire city center is accessible by a 30-minutes walk.

Not so easy to find Tagus: numbers on buildings are tiny and one could easily overlook the needed number.

Very clean, arriving late was no problem, having children no problem. When the Wifi broke I called the manager and it was fixed in minutes no problem. If you are looking for a good budget friendly place to stay and having a kitchen is nice, stay here.

Value for money. Your own room with a double bed, mirror, clothing rack and storage cupboards for just 25 euro a night. I know of 'hotels' in Lisbon that charge nearly twice as much for essentially the same product. Its location is right next to the Marques Pombal metro station.

I couldn't legitimately fault the place.

Kitchen was not always clean and bathroom also... if you have loudly neighbors it could be difficult to sleep, sometimes someone could persistently ring the door at 3-5 a.m.
