We were told there was no room (even though we had the Booking.com confirmation) and so the only room they could find was the Presidential Suite. What a treat. The trip of a lifetime! |

The location is perfect. You can easily walk to the center and the old district of Funchal while you enjoy the scenery and the variety of restaurants and shops. The design of the hotel marvelously combines ocean and rock essentials. The pillows were uncomfortable. |

Everything was excellent. We visited other 5-star hotels while we were in Madeira and concluded the Cliff Bay was 6-star by comparison. I have stayed in top hotels all around the world but this has to be at the top of my list for all-round excellence. We are very choosy with very high standards and can always usually find something to critise, but on this occasion there was simply nothing to dislike or fault. |

Uitstekende locatie, bediening en goede ruime kamers. Eten en faciliteiten zijn werkelijk uitstekend. Vrij veel kamers hebben geen uitzicht op zee en geen zon op het balkon. Met name deze kamers zijn relatief duur. |
