Hotel Topázio

Reception staff were excellent. Size of rooms was very good and room serviced daily. Good location for golfers/groups of friends. Generally very clean except for smell from sewers.

1st room stank of sewer so had to request change. 2nd room better but could still get some smell in bathroom. Toilet seat broken and not changed until 24 hrs before we left. Rooms should have been checked before we were allocated them. Wouldn't recommend booking breakfast.

Went there in Nov 2009, the area was pretty quiet and the lack of loutish chavy Brits on tour eating fry-ups with their copy of the Sun made the stay even better. The local food was splendid and I recommend the old town for food and drink. Good range of bars along the strip as well. The staff were very helpful and there was plenty to do around

The apartment decor was very up to date, spacious and beautfiful marble floors and tiles. The only downside was that the bathroom was very small and you had to manouvre to get inside and the door hit the bidet everytime you opened it. We will definitely stay there next year when we visit Portugal.

We were kept waiting for over an hour to book in as the apartment hadnt been cleaned.

The breakfast could be a little better, the breads and cereal were good but the meat and cheese was a little blah...

across the road a nice quite bar but if you walk up the road and turn right you are on the strip in 5 mins. overall nicer and cheaper than spain

This hotel is directly opposite a Nightclub, The Kiss club plays from midnight until 8 in the morning on 4 nights a week. The very loud bass beat from the club permeates the hotel all night despite quadrupole glazing. This occurs throughout the summer months and can result in disturbed sleep, even with ear plugs. There should be a warning about this on the hotel sight. However overall the stay was good, with helpful staff.
