The breakfast system was nice (for each visitor there was a basket inside the fridge). The location address is confusing a little bit but not difficult to find. The room, bed, bathroom and the other areas were clean.
The staff just speaks Portuguese. The location of is not far from the train station but it's not easy to walk with languages (train station is in lower level of the city and the hotel location is in the upper level). There are 2 bathrooms and both are sharing and sometimes you have to wait.
Good service, good house. It's like home. So good.
I don't know.
Both Carla and her rooms are welcoming, warm and generous. You feel like you are staying with an old friend. Very close to train station - literally around the corner - but it is up a rather steep hill so you will be walking quite slow! Very close to tram, metro and bus into the city centre but a half hour walk through the beautiful alfama district will also get you there
My stay at Sant'Alfama was absolutely perfect. I loved the homy feeling of the place, the decoration, the breakfast (wow !!!) and all the little things that Carla does to make her guests feel good. The area is very quiet and safe at night and so lovely to visit at daytime. THANK YOU SO MUCH !! Thank you very much for everything and especially for your kindness. It has made my stay at your place perfect. I loved the homy feeling of the place itself, the decoration, the breakfast (wow !!!) and all the little things that you do to make your guests feel good. Next time I go to Lisbon (and I'm sure it won't be long until I come back), I will certainly get in touch with her.

This B&B is the best one I have ever been. Everything was nice and sweet. Living there was like at your home. Breakfast, shared bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, living room, everything was fantastic!
Great place to stay in Lisbon.
We stayed here for 2 nights and everything was perfect, Carla was amazing and helped with any questions we had. The place was extremely clean. We were given a really nice breakfast every morning at the sunny breakfast area. The location was the best, we could walk to all the sights. Beds were comfy. Absolutely loved our time in Lisbon!!
Needed to call Carla when we arrived as only the cleaning lady was at the hostal and she didn't speak english, but was no problem once we get hold of her
Staff, Clara was lovely. Flexibility for arrival, eating breakfast, leaving (no complicated check out, deposits... just leave key inside and leave) Very clean Good area Decent comfort, two big baths for three rooms. Very good value for money
- hard to find any, maybe lack of matrimonial bed :)
Our stay at Sant' Alfama was just what we wanted--a great location in the old part of the city, a gracious and knowledgeable host, and a good value. A breakfast room and our own box of breakfast "goodies" was a bonus. Sant' Alfama is a short walk (uphill) from the the train station and cruise terminal. Recommended for anyone traveling light and looking for value.
Very good location. Comfortable room and nice breakfast. Very helpful owner.
Clara the owner was very helpfull and friendly. Lot of parking in Front of the house.
You have to tell an arrival time otherwise nobody is there. There are no signs outside the house or at the door. Somebody opened us the door and then disappered. We were the whole time alone in the Appartement. The owner is just for a short while in the morning there, so if you have questions there is nobody
We liked everything in this place! Our navigation didn't recognize the address of the hostel, but there was the map in the e-mail after booking, also we called Carla (the owner) and she helped us to find the place late in the evening (even after check-in time). The room was good and quiet, very clean and spacious, the bed comfortable, the location in Alfama district is also nice, with free parking near (Rua Caminhos de Ferro). There were 2 shared bathrooms for 3 rooms, but it was like private for us. It was also very clean and always free. Great breakfast with cozy atmosphere. Great attitude from Carla, she even helped us to find new accommodation for our next night in Lisbon, gave us the map and told much about the city and Portugal in general.
Everything ! Lovely room, great breakfast, welcoming hostess with a sunshiny smile, and a very sweet goodbye ... (you'll have to go there and see for yourself to know what I mean
Carla is really sweet and friendly. Breakfast was tasty. Apartment was nice decorated.
The host was very nice and kind to us. She helped us everything. We would like to say thank you to her. Al-Fama was near Santa Apolonia train and metro station, and tram stops so that we could make city trip easily. The bedroom was much comfort and clean. the shared bathroom was clean too. The price was included with continental breakfast. We enjoyed staying there.
Very friendly and helpful owner. Good facilities, well equipped kitchen. Great location to explore the city. I would stay here again. Only perhaps in the room with a view because the ones with out are a bit dark.
The room was street facing, it was a bit cold and on Sunday there was a market on the square facing the building so it got very noisy in the early of the morning. Nothing what ear plugs can't solve.
Carla was a sweetheart n apt was perfect
Was a little hard to find
The room we had was beautifil, spacious. There was musiс player and balcony. The appartment has 2 bath-rooms (one is small). There was a beautiful view from the window of dining-room. The appartment has good design, location and it's close to a metro station.
In general it is not a hotel, but rather an appartment. It was not easy to find as there is no sign or a hotel name. On our second day of stay the door at the main entrance did not work. It was cold in the room and bed linen was somewhat wet. The breakfast was rather strange: at 9 AM nothing was served in the dining-room so we had to help ourselves. We woman who served breakfast came only at 9.25.
the owner, carla, a lovely and friendly one. flat is superb, rooms are comfortable, decorations are creative
