location is rather nice
heating device was advertised - but it took forever to get it. It has to be provided on time during a winter! It was freezingly cold in a room for several days and just impossible to stay while the manager would keep "forgetting" to bring it for several dayas i a araw. Once she brought it - and took away again after 1 night (!) this is not acceptable and not professional.
I like that they had a purpose beyond just teaching
our remote didn't work, it was more camp atmosphere.
Friendliness of staff, atmosphere, location, ethos, facilities
Room small, but very clean; free breakfast; good WiFi; location is perfect (just next to the ocean); good terrace
Economy room with shared bathroom has no window (but we knew it before); in shared bathroom not everything was working very good (exspecially in mens')
I like the price and kindness of the staff.
It is a pity that my room have no window
i high recommed this hostel. you can go in Lisbon by train (train station just 5 min walk), breakfast was super, wifi works perfect, rooms are nice and tidy. Staff is friendly. Beach in arcoss street.
Some of the staff in the office was 5 stars...................
Manyyyyyyyyyyy things The 1st day 18 September, when we return the packet of SG gigante disappear.............and nobody did nothing!!!!!!!!!!! On the 19 September the security open the door of our room to check if it is occupied or not, I feel insecure, and I did not sleep the rest of the night........ The TV set only worked on the 23rd September....... On the 22nd September, by 12,48pm. a group of people went to the terrace in front of our window to shout and drag the chairs........we need to ask for silent through the window. On the 26 September a cleaner open the door of the room without asking first if we were there or not and imagine it was to show the room to other guests!!!!!!!!!!(2 monitors of a disable group) and when she saw me she tells I thought that you are not here".........can you imagine how I feel, that in my room everything is in risk.....................It was AWFUL... On the 27 September we need to wake up by 7am...............and no hot water to have a bath.......... what a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE...
When you arrive it seems like a youth hostel or school. . But when you go into the area for tourists it feels like a boutique hotel. . High quality rooms ..towels. .beds. .wifi..satellitetv..
It was all great.
Breakfast included clean room
hard to find as called Fundacao do Seculo next to petrol station on main road by sea. Come out of station on left and turn left, make way to left to sea front on right and main road
Staff very helpful with local advice. All other accommodation in the area was much more expensive. Good location for train into Lisbon, road link to Cascais and Sintra. Please note that this accommodation in a special charity based unit for young people, So you have a lovely private room, but the other facilities are shared with other groups, of children and young people. Breakfast good and range of things on offer. Parking outside is free and in a well lit area. There is a garage opposite with a range of snacks and drinks,
Rooms are nice furnished, wifi is working in the building, staff is really nice and helpful, it's close to Lisbon (30 min trainride) and the station is really around the corner. After a day in the city you can jump straight into the sea cause it's just in front of the building. There are a few good restaurants in the area
The room was originall a 4 bed room, so we had 2 bunkbeds with no window (no window was mentioned in the reservation confirmation) although we booked a double room. Shared bathroom was always kind of dirty and a bit smelly. The showers are quite big, but there are no hangers in the shower. The breakfast was a bit simple and the coffee comes from a dispenser and not from a proper machine. Estoril is not really big and there is not a lot to see, but good for a quick stopover e.g. Coming/going to the airport
All....It was a very bad accommodation. When we reserved the room we asked for a double one, instead they gave us a room for 4 people WITHOUT WINDOW!!! Breakfast was a pity...
The personal was very friendly and helpfull. I had a problem with my bicicle and the personnal arranged voluntary repair. Good value for money and good atmosphere.
Nice place, in front of beach and near train station.
not only hostal, there is summer camp for kids. But for us wasnt so big problem. Our room was without window...sometimes need fresh air))))) but just for sleep, not very bad
They picked us up at the airport and told us all about the area and the culture. My sister was getting married on the beach there, and they baked a beautiful cake as a gift and decorated the terrace and room- it was unbelievable how much care and attention they gave us- expecting nothing but our gratitude.
Our room (nr. 11) had nice double windows with a good view of the sea. Ricardo was extremely helpful and seemed genuinely interested in his guests and sharing his knowledge of the area. We only met kind and helpful staff the whole of our stay. We were a group of family and friends from 20's to 70's age-wise sharing double rooms and the use of the joint terrace. Both the airconditioning and the wifi functioned really well. It is easy to take the train to Estoril, Cascais or into Lisbon or to get to Sintra from the hostel.
The breakfast was okay but a bit boring.
A great value for money, the room was clean and very close to the beach and train station. 25 mins to Lisbon city center for less than 3 euros.
a little bit noisy from the trains and other rooms
Where to begin? The staff is topnotch, and Ricardo is the most excellent advisor for anything you may want to do in the area! We followed through on many of his suggestions, and each one was just fabulous! We had ten people in our group, and the staff made all of us feel at home and completely comfortable. We also held a wedding on the beach for two of our party, and the staff insisted on decorating the terrace, providing us with a homemade and delicious cake, and made this special event even more fabulous. There just aren't enough words to recommend everything about this amazing hostel!
What a friendly staff!! Room were clean. Location is very good between Lisbon and cascaiq. We come back..
First of all the staff is super friendly! Jorge, Ricardo and Pedro really helped us with a lot. For instance they told us were it's nice to eat and also were to go in Sintra, Lisboa and Cascais. The Hotel has the best location and oceanview! Just across the road there is a beach with beautiful clear blue water, this is just a 1 minute walk. Breakfast is good. Nice bread, cheese, ham, butter and jam. (Also at 9:30) We loved our room. It is beautifully decorated and clean. The beds are also good! Airco is working perfectly and we could walk to the patio in front of our room and enjoy a Sagres Radler beer ;-) You can buy this beer in the supermarket just 5 minutes from the hotel. We also went surfing with Pedro, he works at O'Seculo. It was amzing!!! We had the best time!! You should also take some lessons from him! He is such a nice person to spend the day with! The trainstation of S.Pedro do Estoril is just a 5 minute walk from the Hotel. From this station you can go to Lisboa in 30 min. And to Cascais in less than 10 minutes. Again, this hotel has the best location! :-) The Portugese people are such nice persons, we loved our holiday here. We were in this hotel for 2 weeks but we could have easely stayed 3 to see more of Sintra and the other sights and enjoy beautiful Portugal! Good to know when you arrive; the entrance of the Hotel is across the street of the BP Tankstation. Thank you O’seculo for this great experience! just a little in dutch; Dit hotel is echt super! Top locatie, aardige mensen, goed ontbijt, mooie schone kamers! Leuke omgeving, 30 minuten met de trein naar Lissabon.
Friendly and helpful staff Safe place to stay Modern style and clean room Next to the beach Quiet place
Not that many varieties at the breakfast Not that cosy surroundins cause it was a foundation
Cheap and worth it. It's OK as transit hotel.
No window, no balcony (as in description when booked).
Nice location, great private rooms, helpful stuff.
kind people, close to the beach, close to markets and such
room was pretty hot, locks on the man's stalls for shower and toilet where mostly broken
