Tivoli Jardim

A feeling of oppulence. Very stylish modern decor. Really clean room with comfortable bed and much appreciated air conditioning.

Some confusion over the mini bar. In our case and that of our friends they believed we had used items which we had not. Perhaps because we used it to store water. Shame that the coffee in the room had to be paid for. Free tea and coffee is something to which the British are accustomed.

The hotel public area was spacious and the room cleanliness was very good and suprisingly the balcony was also cleaned daily .

The room contained too much furniture for the space available and the bathroom fittings, while being "cutting edge", were not very practical. Have you ever tried to use a square bidet? Also ther was no grab handle for the bath which made using the shower dangerous as the bath was slippery and in my room the exit from the bath was restricted by the bidet.

Outside not particulary attractive

excelent food at the hotel restaurant. Best in the city. That famous restaurant "Eleven" is far behind comparing to Tivoli restaurant Oliver.

The hotel had been thoroughly renovated a short time ago. This was our second stay at the hotel and we especially like its location. The city center is close by.

A tractor started excavating at the hotels premises early in the morning even on saturday, waking up everybody staying at the hotel.

In short walking distance to the city centre.

The bed was extremely comfortable, the room is clean, nice plasma tv, and clean shower. The hotel is really nice inside the breakfast is really good for 10euros and internet is free in the business area. It's a really nice hotel we really enjoyed our stay there.

The location is kind of far from the main strip about a 15 to 20 min walk. It is really close to Bairro Alto though and that is where you want to be if you like crowds of people just hanging out having a drink. You have to make your way up Bairro Alto, it's pretty hilly but when you get there it's worth it. Pockets of bars with all kinds of different music.

It was 13 years since l;ast staying at Tivoli Jardim, and the new update of the rooms was stunning

When booking in I wasn't convinced that we were given a Superior Room, we had been placed on the ground floor overlooking the car park. I did ask and was told it was, but I wasn't convinced

Quiet, elegant and spacious bedroom, balcony and bathroom. Large wardrobe with drawers. Coffee-machine. Great mattress! Good internett access in hotell-loby. Friendly and helpfull staff at the reception. Good breakfast (but I do think that espresso-coffee should be included in breakfast at a hotell of this standard and price!)

In my bathroom you had to climb into the bath from the short, sloping end! And this was necessary to be able to reach the taps. So you had to climb innto the bath to turn on and off the bathwater! This was very impractical, and would be unsafe for elderly or lightly disabled people. Some of the breakfast-staff were snooty and rude and made us feel very uncomfortable.
