Score from 399 reviews Good
The pool area, the bar overlooking the marina, the setting
I think some free basic loungers should be available for guests of the hotel as well as the pura beach offering
It was in fantastic location with lovely views over Marina. Rooms were a good size.
Was very expensive - which if you are getting the quality is acceptable .... outside is more impressive than inside. Furniture was tatty and corridors etc were tatty. Not worth the price paid
rooms look very tired , very noisy in the nightime , I have stayed in this hotel before and enjoyed my stay but this time I belive we had an inferior room above the foyer but still had to pay the same high price
would prefer the buffet open all year
Location to both marina and beach. Restaurants within the hotel were excellent.
Lack of tea making facilities within the room.
Staff in the kids club were very friendly. Having an Angsana Spa is a bonus.
Internet is extremly poor. The whole hotel requires an update.
The location is perfect. Beautiful location. Fabulous pool. Breakfast consists of everything you could wish for.
Noise! Nightclub next door is a nightmare. Constant booming of music from midnight until 6:30am & then the chatter of 100's of people leaving the club at closing time.
Room was a bit dated
Location View from the room
Service poor, not helpful at all Pool was freezing Loungers uncomfortable No sleep before 2am due to music so loud from the beach club Prices around pool €2.50 for a tiny bottle of water
The location, lots of sun beds, helpfulness of staff, gym, bars.
The jacuzzi wasn't working properly.
Breakfast, lunch at Menta restaurant, location.
The room requires renovation: old furniture and sanitary equipment in bathroom. There was a horrible smell in the room. Cleaning is poor: hair of previous guest were in bathroom during all our stay despite the complaint on the reception. The beach (that is on the photo and in the hotel description) is not the private beach, it's public and costs 30 euro per day (2 sun beds and an umbrella). It's definetely not a 5 star experience for 300 euros per night.
Staff friendly and helpful, especially Salome Assuncao (Customer Care), who saw a lot of me! Restaurants good, especially Mentha with its buffets, but drinks overpriced everywhere. Nice view over the Marina. Comfortable bed.
Having to complain so much! On arrival at Room 605, found broken lavatory seat, malfunctioning shower door. Workmen in room until 21.00 on our first day! No tea making facilities, they arrived on request. No fresh milk available in room until complaint made. Wi-fi useless, complained so much, eventually received personal router for our room, TIVOLI_041 service, instead of swisscom. Room servicing unpredictable, on various days, no bath towels, no flannels, no soap, second key removed, no evening turn down of beds and balcony light still on at 01.45, (should go off at 23.00)! Noise, noise, noise, even on the "so called quieter side" of the hotel. Finally, Purobeach nightclub. Not owned by Tivoli, but another company, although access from hotel grounds. Wanted to go to "ABBA" evening, access door from hotel grounds permanently shut for the night, went to bed! On another night invited to "Celebrate Casa do Castello" at Purobeach at 22.00. Access finally granted at 23.30, after many trips to hotel reception and then presentation of invitation card, invitation letter and room key at nightclub! Liaison problem between hotel and night club?!
the pool garden was fantastic; it was very relaxing and there were always plenty of sunbeds available. Although the hotel is large, it had a very friendly atmosphere. The staff were pleasant and helpful.
The Puro Beach Club and restaurant were beautiful, but it was a huge space and very few people in it so it lacked atmosphere.
Noise unbearable from local discos at night. No control over children in pools.
great location, waking up looking onto the marina. Refurbished room on 6th floor, was very comfortable, the first time we stayed at the marina hotel was 2001,and my little boy was delighted with the chocolate lady who gave him chocolates when she turned down the bed. Glad to see she's still there.10 years ago it was looking a little tired but now all up to standard again. We have never had such prompt service at breakfast, coffee in the cup before we had sat down.well done!! My daughter and boyfriend staying for a week next month on our recommendation. Had my hair blow dried twice,at the hairdressers attached to hotel, discount for hotel guests, lovely staff, who fittted me in on walk up from beach without an apppointment. Best of all is the location 2 mins and you are in the marina with the shops bars and restaurants.
Think comp tea and coffee in rooms would be more in keeping with standard of hotel, instead of being charged 2 Euros a cup!
Staff Pool Area Beach Club Location
Loved the fact that it was right on the marina at front and beach at the back We had a refurbished room which was very comfortable Public areas very modern and clean Nice garden and pool area with beach beyond Excellent maid service with towels changed twice daily and bed turn down service
Poor wifi reception which was free if you sign up FOC to their hotel program Drinks expensive in bar at night Breakfast very busy if you go down around 10 but this isn't hotels fault All in all slightly overpriced but what a location
Location superb. Very good, free shuttle service to Golf clubs.
Oriental Buffet dinner was bland and uninspiring and at 33 euros each very overpriced. Also no atmosphere at it with very few diners. The Pura beach was extortionate, presumably to keep out (us!) riff raff!
All of the above and the food was excellent
We found the rooms dated
Friendly staff especially valet parking etc Restaurant that was accessible from outside was excellent if slightly pricey Poolside staff and facilities excellent
We. Paid extra for a recently refurbished room. 100Euros, the balcony was disgusting the table was filthy with stains. Floor on balcony dirty . We told the manager and he changed table but was an arrogant guy . We ordered breakfast in the room the first morning. It was cold greasy 2mm of fat. I was amazed to find we had to pay 30 euros extra to be insulted by this mess. Next day we went down for breakfast the hot sorry not hot food was terrible. Hy cook for everybody at7.00 And leave cold bad food there.we decided to eat breakfast elsewhere the last two days. Please check! To add insult you charged extra to my bill for one water one breakfast bar.your staff and clients deserve better management and I suggest you send your clients out for breakfast.
Swimming pool + beach so close, the fantastic Marina and its restaurants, wonderful Vilamoura, the clear sky and the Sunshine...so much fun, never tired of this place. Love
The departure day...:((
Everything was perfect in the hotel, staff very helpful and polite.Food was lovely and plentyfull.Rooms are very clean and cushy beds are a dream to sleep in.We stayed on 9th floor and view of marina was lovely.Hotel sent us chocolate strawberrys and champagne as it was our honeymoon which was a lovely thing to do.I would recommend this hotel to anyone it's very good value for money and it's location is perfect.
poor service, rooms not cleaned very well; hotel managment non-responsive to feedback; hotel very understaffed - wait an average of 15 minutes at breakfast to be offered a drink, around 45 minutes to get any service at the pool. Expensive where it shouldn't be - ice from the pool bar is £2,50 a glass although free from machines in the hotel; to sit on hotel loungers is charged from £10-£100 a day.
Loved the location and everything about the hotel. Staff were excellent and very helpful. Loved the early check in which we weren't charged for . Will definitely return x
Booked a double room but was given a twin, but was very kindly allocated a double when it become available but had to move mid holiday. Also was shocked to find that tea and coffee was not complimentary in ur room.
The attention that was given to us during breakfast and also the room attendant
