Loved the surrounding area. As we stayed at Tivoli Sintra we were given free entry to one of the houses up the road (about 10 mins walk away). The gardens to the house were spectacular and we spent much longer there than we had anticipated. Truly gorgeous The exterior was a bit off-putting at first sight and directions to find it could have been better but once inside it was fine. |

It was very comfortable. When unhappy with our room they immediately changed the room. We had the romance package which included champagne and fresh strawberries-very nice touch. Breakfast was great and you couldn't beat the location plus it had parking so we were very happy. |

The staff was fabulous, especially the front desk! Every person was SO helpful and very kind. My friend and I commented on it daily. They all made our experience there delightful. And the town of Sintra is gorgeous, well worth a visit. |

Great position, a perfect spot really. Excellent staff and free parking and internet. Public areas spacious and comfortable. I would say that the rooms would benefit from refurbishment and tea and coffee making in the room is always appreciated but ths would not put me off staying again |

The views from the bedrooms, bar area and the restuarant. The breakfast had a good array of food. I thought the restuarant was very out dated. We really enjoyed having a complimentary meal, and enjoyed the wine, but found the food very ordinary. In fact it put us off eating there the second night. The pillows were rather firm. |

Excellent position in the centre of town, Hotel has kept some of the 1970's original features. Room was a good size. Wonderful views from the bar and balcony. The staff were amateur and only reasonably helpful. A four star should have a bell boy, we had to lug our luggage. The room was poorly decorated. The lobby and lounge were poorly decorated. I would rate this hotel only three star. |

Enjoyed breakfasts. Room faced valley - late pm/evening sun poured in. Hotel situated perfectly for seeing Sintra and area - fabulous to walk out of the hotel and be in the centre of this amazing place. Easy to get train to Lisbon/Queluz. Garage under hotel as well as parking outside. This is our second stay, each lasting a week, and we'll certainly go back. Intolerably hot one night - told no air con until May due to the cold weather - dogs barking make it difficult to sleep with the balcony door open. The suite faces houses (close) and currently a building site, is low down, dark and smells (smoking floor). All 3 Junior suites face the valley. |

World Heritage Site of Unesco - worth to see. Palaces and gardens. Constructing works (next door) were noisy and disturbing |

The staff there were wondeful. The restaurant was one of the best in Sintra, great food, staff, and views. The views from the room balcony were also gorgeous. Even with all the good comments, the location is the best thing about this hotel. Sintra is made for walking and this hotel lets you stay right in ht emiddle of it all. Parking is hard to find here. They could use another staff member to stay at the front door to greet, help with finding parking, and help with luggage. |

We enjoyed our stay but found it was a little noisy with the building work going on behind the hotel. Location was good for our City trip. Staff were very personable. A pity that the exterior of the hotel did not do justice to the interior. |

Location. Helpful staff. Could use some updating but location superb. Had no problems parking, but could see that the 10 spaces they had available could be filled up quickly during the high season. |

The location in the center of town was superb and the breakfast service was also quite good. The in-room air conditioning did not work (only put out full hot air) and the hotel said that nothing could be done to remedy the situation until the maintenance programed to system for summer. The door latch for the door to the balcony was broken. |
