The service was above and beyond. Francisco Leitro was the best front desk manager that I have run into. From helping mail packages, to storing suitcases, to giving suggestions, to welcoming us warmly and remembering our names, he was great. The location is fantastic and the views are amazing. Great value all around

Nice place in front of "Palacio Nacional". Amazing view from the restaurant. Parking lots in front of the hotel or in a place on backyards. Lack of wi-fi internet in the rooms and just one computer in the desk room.

It was a very comfortable and relaxing stay. The hotel provided a good base to meet friends and retire for a good night's sleep. Breakfast was very good. Unfortunatley the decoration and style of the hotel is looking a bit dated now. While in good condition and well maintained it clearly could do with some more modern images and comforts.

Location is perfect to visit Sintra, Pena, Los Mourous... The personnel is very nice and welcoming. The hotel is clean. If you like decoration of the end of the 1970' you'll like the hotel. To me it shoud be redecorated! Beds are too hard. Breakfeast is basic.

The hotel is perfectly situated in the centre of Sintra, close to all the sights, restaurants and everything you might need. The hotel common áreas are beautifully appointed, with beautiful vistas to the valley. The common áreas are also very inviting to sit down, relax, and drink a cup of tea, coffee or whatever you might want. I definitely recommend a room with a valley view, it is worth it. The bed was hard, and we only had one small pillow each. The rooms could use a little updating.

The entrance, sitting room area, the bedrooms were lovely. Beautiful view. The outside of the hotel should be redone as it looks too shabby for this class of hotel and could give an adverse reaction to go in while inside is absolutely stunning. The staff is great. The food delicious, the waiters polite and one of them absolutely charming speaking all the languages. (I did not get to know his name). I would definitely recommend this hotel. And the palace across is absolutely fantastic inside. One of the best in the world. Thank you for a great stay, Montanette Bennett and Segolene Walter

Wonderful view of the Palace from my window. Beautiful view over valley from the hotel terrace. Very good location in centre of Sintra but still quiet and peaceful. The hotel is unattractive from the outside.

They compensate very well the fact that the furniture is starting to show its age with every little detail showing elegance and it can be a good experience if you understand this fact. It perfectly marches the charm of Sintra.

For no extra expense our room was upgraded from a village view to a valley view so as to give us a non-smoking room. Excellent location as it is in walking distance of the sights of old Sintra and not far from other places of interest, such as Cabo da Roca, the most westerly point of Europe. On the down side the pillows were very small. The chef needs to get a new butcher. My husband's loin steak had to be returned as it was uneatable and the substitute one was little better. I didn't tell the waiter that my lamb chops were the worst I had ever eaten. Lovely fruit salad!

The hotel is very comfortable. All furniture is frayed a little, but this fact can not spoil smb's pleasure, because that's a decrepitude "with a touch of aristocratism". The hotel is in the centre of Sintra - opposite National Palace. Main touristic office and the stop of buses (3 lines, which make it possible to move between attractions of Sintra) are close to the hotel. There is free internet (cable, not wifi) in the buiseness center on the ground floor. Wi-fi was not free; its price was very expensive.

“The apartment at the pond with ducks was excellent. We really loved it. Also, the garden with exotic birds was great - one can touch and pet them. The jacuzzi/swimming pool can be used even in evenings as they are heated. A jacuzzi bath under the stars was very romantic. In general, the place is a very good place for relaxing; it is very peaceful and energizing.” Patrik, Prague |
