perfect location ,breakfast ,free parking
Hotel is centrally situated opposite the National Palace making it easy to get around the town. Buffet breakfast with good choice of food and drinks. Plenty of castles/hoses/gardens within easy reach, either on foot or by very reasonably priced bus.
Restaurants and cafés nearby extremely expensive with the exception of Piriquita and Piriquita II, which serve excellent light meals.
The old decor in pristine condition The breakfast The kindness The views
The interior parking should be better indicated...
Great Location, lovely room, excellent breakfast
Homeliness , centrality, good breakfast, clean comfortable room.
Rooms could be modernized at bit, without loosing the character
Large, comfortable, well-appointed room with a great view from the balcony. Free parking right in front of the hotel (quite competitive to get a space though). Right in the center of town.
Sintra is a confusing place and no hotels are signposted. Took us longer to fnd the hotel than it did to drive to Sintra from Lisbon airport!
The hotel was better than I had expected very peaceful and close to the town centre.
Having to leave!
Shampoo bottles writing far to small to see wats inside .
The balcony with the "Valley View" was exceptional. The breakfasts were superb (except for the tea!)
The reception staff didn't agree on how to obtain the "free wi-Fi" in the hotel.
location meet all our needs to visit Sintra and surrounding areas
Ideal for visiting sintra famous places. Breakfast was ok.
This hotel is a little bit outdated, some areas needs renovation. TV did't work in our room.
The scenery from every window, great dinners.
Cant think of anything.
Safe parking outside hotel and views from bar area
Town square over priced
The hotel is located in the centre of Sintra, just behind the Palace, an excellent location for excursions in the city and its surroundings. A great plus is the garage for your car. Otherwise it would be more or less impossible to get rid of your car.
View and breakfast.
All rooms have balconies, some view the Castle, other the town. Perfect location in the oldest part of the village.
Furnishings including room furniture are dated. But you must remember you are in a town dating back a thousand years!
I stayed in this hotel for two nights,,the location was perfect very close to the center yet quite with wide rooms overlooking breath taking views. Staff were incredibly helpful with smiley faces! yes,, good vibes matters! They helped me with my luggage and when I forgot my portable charger after checking out and leaving , Josef was kind enough to come to the train station to personally hand it to me! Thank you fro making my stay so enjoyable!
My wife was unwell during our stay and the advice, help and co-operation we received from the Reception, Bar and Restaurant staff was absolutely first class. Our 'valley view' room was most comfortable and my wife was able to really rest whilst she was unable to go out. Thank you all
A small niggle but for guests staying more than just one or two days and who have to eat in the Restaurant (as we did due to my wife's illness ) the menu is unchanging and for meat dishes offers only steak, and never an alternative such as chicken.
Location Nice rooms. Big and clean bathrooms. Nice views. Lovely breakfast buffet
The hotel team is experienced, professional, friendly and welcoming. The views from our room were amazing. The room and lobby were comfortable. The breakfast was exactly what we like to eat.
The location is in the centre of town, the hotel has it's own garage. Clean and presentable. The staff were very smart and friendly.
My TV was outdated and faulty, the air conditioning in my room did not work. The use of blankets instead of duvets I feel is a bit outdated. Expensive wifi.
Room smells tabaco. Small and old TV. No parking around and the garage access is bad. Not going back ever.
Central location Helpful staff Parking Not a bad breakfast
It all needs a refurb. Shabby rooms and common parts (although clean). Wifi needs daily renewal - and you have to join their club or you have to pay for it. Dead flower displays. Restaurant closed with no sign saying that evening meals are served in the snack bar - found out when we checked out.
we loved the lobby bartender.
parking. we had to circle the street a couple times before we could stop and ask where to park. Also, one of the desk folks was a little, uh, brusque.
