This hillside hotel features a rooftop swimming pool and terrace with scenic views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Dona Ana beach. The guest rooms have a private balcony.
Score from 625 reviews Good
In the historic center of Lagos, the Porta Da Vila is just over a quarter mile from a sandy beach. It features a rooftop pool with views of Lagos Bay and has accommodations with kitchen facilities.
Score from 361 reviews Very good
Set around a charming pool with garden, these traditional villas feature private terraces, just a 5-minute walk from Praia Dona Ana Beach. The historic part of Lagos is one mile away.
Score from 511 reviews Excellent
The lavish resort overlooks the beautiful beach of Porto de Mos. It has a wide range of luxurious spa treatments and an outdoor pool.
Score from 859 reviews Wonderful
Everything was good, staff were very nice, about 30 min walk to old town,a couple of nice restaurants and small shops 15 min walk.
Little smell in bathroom maybe could do with extractor fan, breakfast over priced at 10 euro
Host friendly, breakfast good a lot choice
Beds are not so comfortable. Every where mirrors in the room and in the bathroom.
Quality of staff Very nice pool View Atmosphere of the premises, charming and special, out of the 'box' Quiet and clean Breakfast And lots others
It is not a don't like, but need own transport or good legs to get to beach or Lagos center
The place is pretty amazing. Staff friendly and helpfull. I would highly recommend it to everyone who is looking for a nice and comfortable rest. What I liked the most: thanks to separate houses You get the atmosphere of spending time on separate villa and not just in a hotel.Come and see:).
Friendly staff, very quiet location and lovely atmosphere.
Clean, nice staff, good breakfast.
Towels are not allowed to be taken to the beach
Lovely pool area, nice decoration and comfortable room looking out over the pool. Friendly staff who speak good English. It was quiet in September. No problem to park outside.
A bit of a walk to the centre (about 20 mins), but not expensive to come back in a taxi (about 4 Euros).
Excellent value for your money. Awesome breakfast, all time helping staf. Just what you need if you want to take some days off.
Good breakfast Clean comfortable rooms reasonably priced
Really nice hotel, uniquely decorated gives it a really nice feel. Great breakfast too. A little far from town centre but close to beach and amazing views.
Distance from town centre
Clean Extensive breakfest Close to beach Quiet location (when visit Lagos, car recommended) Ocean view Price/quality ratio Friendly other staff
Very unfriendly impolite reception staff (young mother). She is not representative for this function.
Breakfast was great, room was very large
About a 20 minute walk to the centre
delicious breakfast, walking distance to great beach about 7 min. To the city center about 20 min by very safe and quite streets. No problems with parking place for car.
Little bit unconfortable bed, week wi-fi connection.
* very friendly staff (both at the reception and tech crew - we had a minor electricity failure that was fixed in the blink of an eye) * nice pool open 24/7 * fabulous dining room & great breakfasts * perfect location: 5 mins to the beach and walking distance to the centre & harbour
* refrigerator worked loudly which disturbed at night
I've visited 26 countries and found the Valmar Village to be the best deal I've ever encountered. And the breakfast is spectacular!
Breakfast, view, location, price/quality
The hotel could use some redecoration here and there (e.g. the fence and green carpets around the swimming pool, shower hoses).
Rooms are a good size Pool area is nice Place was quite tranquil
Most of the staff were great but One male staff was consistently arrogant and rude which is a shame as he let the place down. Not close to central Lagos which was fine for us but may cause problems for others.
Pool fabulous and great views
Wasn't too impressed with the ground floor location, no view really but you must pay extra for that. Only very small cups in the room but we changed them for bigger ones.
Great staff, immaculate, and peace and quiet with a large balcony view of the ocean! We loved being in a large room.
Location, quietness, swimming pool,
Bathroom and shower configuration. Water ran on the floor after the shower and there is a window between the bathroom and the main room through which everyone in the main room can clearly see you doing your business.
the breakfast...the chinesse restaurant at the end of the street
the receptionist have no idea of being an receptionist...he show us the room whitout carrying the luggage of my girlfriend upstairs...the location is to fare away from town
Loved the hotel breakfasts to die for.staff very helpful and friendly. Liked the decor very much in fact a hit all round
Too far to centre of lags.believe that for mature couples a car is necessary. Think hotel would benefit in being able to offer an optional evening meal especially if it compared to standard of breakfasts.
Very friendly staff, beautiful sea view, great pool and patio, good size room, delicious breakfast, quiet zone.
Without car pretty far from the city centre, very thin walls, many ants, few plugs, oldish furniture, no coffee in the room except for the first day, same with the soap, no eating facilities apart from breakfast.
Beautyful place with a nice view. Staff is very welcoming and helpful. Excellent breakfast with a large variety of foods. Rooms were cleaned daily. Comfortable beds, good working warm shower.
Not close to city centre (didn't matter for us because we rented a car). Wifi only works in the common room/swimming pool area, however the internet is fast and works fine.
Breakfasts were excellent value for money
TV channels were a bit limited
