Hotel Velamar  

Staff was very helpful and the location is perfect as very close to Albufeira centre but still away from all the night noise. All the beaches around are the best in the area.

A clean friendly hotel with very helpful staff. The rooms were very clean well equipt. Excellent breakfast on 3rd floor with good views

The Brits were following in the german fashion putting towels on sunbeds and then leaving the beds empty for hours at a time, the number of parasols were limited.

A very smart and immaculately clean hotel, with the friendliest of staff. Add a convivial bar and a hearty fresh breakfast every morning; this was exactly what we were looking for. A very attractive price making it all the better.

For us it was perfect. However the nearest beach is 10 minutes away and Albufeira itself 30 minutes walk, therefore possibly not best suited for the less mobile.

Fabulous stay.

Everything was great. Didn't hear a sound. Nicely placed. Comfortable rooms.

Staff were very helpful and friendly, hotel centrally located 10 mins walk to beach. Bars and restaurants and inter-marche nearby.

No variety in the breakfast, we were there for 9 mornings so it became a bit repetitive

We booked this hotel because we found it reasonably priced and it suited our needs. During our vacation we stayed in Lisbon and we wanted to go to the Algarve for a few days. For this it was a perfect place to travel and to see other places.

The breakfast wasn't that great. The coffee was really below standard. We stayed at the lowest floor. Because of the single beds which are put next to each other it made a lot of noise when the guests in other rooms moved the beds. Also the ventilation system made a lot of noise in the morning. It was like an airplane taking off. But overall, for the price, it was to our satisfaction.

The cuisine for breakfast was lovely (variety,taste and frshness was great) and for the price it was exceptional value. The lounge area in the hotel was comfortable, spacious and modern. The room I stayed in was very clean, its design modern and bright. Overall a lovely hotel with friendly employees. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay!

Ideally situated between Albufeirra and Villamoura in relatively quiet area just a short walk from the main area of Olhos D'Agua and some lovely beaches. Close by were several cafe/ snack bars/restuarants with good range of meals at reasonable prices. Rooms cleaned every day,staff cheerful and helpful. Swimming pool bit on small side and hotel suffered slightly from having no entertainment. Large piano in lounge area but lid taped down and seemed to be there only for show.

Barking dogs nearby interrupted sleep early in morning.Not hotels fault. Small pool. Could be noisy at night but that down to guests with little thought for others.

Really good hotel - friendly staff/helpful; buffet breakfast great but gets a bit tedious on day 5; recommend this hotel to all.
