Huone oli seitsemännessä kerroksessa ja se oli todella tilava. Parvekkeelta oli mukavan rauhalliset näkymät yli kattojen. Henkilökunta oli kielitaitoinen ja erittäin ystävällinen.

Hissin äänet kuuluivat huoneeseen, kylpyhuone oli jäätävän kylmä.

Friendliness and competence of staff. The breakfast room on top floor. Central location.

The location was great and it was quiet and close to transport.

Our telephone in the room was not working and no one seems to care to fix it. On the same day we were stuck in the lift and at any time the staff didn't bother to tell us what they have undertaken to reassure us.

The location is great, the breakfast was nice to, served at the rooftop terrace.

Be prepared that the pictures belonging to this hotel on this website don't have much to do with reality!! Why do you have a picture of some two story house in the middle of a sandy beach? (We knew that this cant be right-but still... I don't know about the hotels own website.) Its a plain hotel, with the usual design, except for the rooftop, that is very nicely renovated.

Impressive location, brilliant architecture, great balconies, very friendly staff, breakfast room with a view over the city.

Spent an excellent time at this hotel. The room was spacious, with a big balcony overlooking the square in front of the hotel, clean, big TV, friendly staff. And the best thing - breakfast on the open terrace on the top floor. Very good location - all main attractions within 10-15 minutes walk, have managed to visit everything in one day without ever taking the metro.

Not sure that all rooms are the same (apparently we had a Delux, and according to the fire-escape plan the rest of the rooms may be much smaller). Noise isolation was not very good (noise from the street not a problem, but sometimes from the hall, although no big deal). If travel by car will have to pay 12.5 for parking (independent private place, which has a special deal for the hotel guests) - don´t expect to park for free on the street (not in this area).

The location was great and the view in the morning when you have breakfast outside is awesome!

The situation in Porto downtown, close to nearby restaurants, etc.

The room was not what I had expected as seeing the one on website. It was also not very clean and next to the elevator on the 7th floor. The day we left, the elevator did not work so we had to come down the 7 levels of floors by foot with all our luggage.

Ideally placed in the city for sightseeing - central yet quiet at night.

It was not until the first morning of our stay that we were told that breakfast would be served in another hotel a few hundred metres down the road due to the refurbishment of the top floor of the Vera Cruz (April/May 2009). More than disappointing as the top floor breakfast room with its views over the city was one of the main reasons for choosing the Vera Cruz.
