Vila Marta  

We had a nice 2 weeks stay at Vila Marta. No problems at all. Nice and big rooms, balcony, kitchen etc. Fresh bread every morning. We used Bus 45 a lot, Busstop only 5 min from the hotel and 15 min. to downtown. Joao was very helpfull to arrange for taxi and to rent a car, Many thanks to Joao Joel and family. Thanks for flowers and wine. We will be back. High recommended. Regards from Peter, Iceland.

We liked very much our stay at Vila Marta (also loved Madeira). We think it was an excellent choice for our honeymoon. First thing, the owner family is very friendly and helpful. We did not really had time to learn too much about Madeira before getting there so all the advices from Mr. Bruno were a great help to us. Also they helped us with a lot of other things: taxi from the airport, renting a car, indications to good restaurants, shops, locations to visits. The room was very clean, spacious and well equipped (kitchen). Also to mention the beautiful flowers from Mr. Joel that we appreciated very much. Bus station to go to center of Funchal is very close (also we enjoyed the "montagne russe" trip with the bus :) Overall we highly recommend Vila Marta.

The ventilation of the toilet was a bit noisy if using toilet during the night (it takes about 5-10 min to stop the ventilation after you close light for toilet). On the other hand, it ventilates very well and is only noticeable during the night, when everything is silent. Going to near-by supermarket by foot is easy on the map but challenging in reality because of the slopes specific to all roads in Funchal (and generally on Madeira). So renting a car is recommended. (Also is of real help if you want to explore Madeira and not just to visit Funchal)

My best recomendation for this hotel! Friendly owners will provide you with fresh bread every morning, and also with fresh fruits as a welcome gift. You really will feel like at home living there. Big and well furnished room and kitchen. Nice ocean view.Free parking on the street.

Pretty far from the city center. But if you rent a car on the island, it really doesn't matter.

We were perfectly taken care of by the management: they fixed taxi from/to airport, car rental at the reception, our immediate needs at arrival and fresh bred every morning. And they were always ready to take care of our little problems. Thank you Marta, Joel and Bruno for a most memorable stay in Madeira. We recommend Vila Marta to everyone.

No hay nada que nos haya disgustado

Pohodlné ubytování /4 km/ od rušného centra Funchalu, velká výhoda je pronajaté auto.Velmi laskaví a ochotní majitelé vily poradí s čímkoli, velice dobrá komunikace. V pokojích jsou ortopedické matrace-opravdu pohodlné spaní!!!Vila je dobře situovaná pro podnikání výletů-blízkost dálnice.Supermarket pro nákupy je také blízko /vařili jsme si téměř každý den/. Rozhodně doporučuji k ubytování, máte pocit jako když přijedete k přátelům...a když odjíždíte, tak doufáte, že se ještě někdy vrátíte. Ještě nikde ve světě jsme nezažili srdečnější ubytování jako ve Vila Marta

Opravdu není co kritizovat

Nous avons été très très chaleureusement accueillis par la famille propriétaire de l'hôtel, et également très bien conseillés pour le choix d'un restaurant ou une ballade. En fait, il s'agit plutôt d'une sorte de gîte (kitchenette, petit déj à préparer soi-même). La chambre est plutôt un petit studio. Bien qu'en ville, c'est très calme. La voiture est garée dans la rue devant l'hôtel mais ça n'est pas un problème.

Le quartier n'est pas très glamour (cf. photo de la vue) mais l'environnement immédiat est tranquille. On ne peut pas partir voir quelque chose à pied, il faut absolument un moyen de transport.

отличное место. потрясающий персонал, который делает всё, чтобы сделать ваш отдых максимально комфортным. семейная обстановка, чистые просторные комнаты, красивый вид из окон. недалеко от виллы остановка автобуса, удобно, если путешествуете без автомобиля.

Gefallen hat uns: -alles, was von vorherigen Gästen beschrieben wurde, traf ein (Brötchen am Morgen, typische Madeirablumen für Zuhause als Erinnerung, große Hilfsbereitschaft und ausgesprochene Freundlichkeit) -Zimmerausstattung -Bad mit Badewanne! -Aussicht (da am Hügel gelegen ein bisschen was vom Ort und viiiieel Meer) -sonnige Lage, ca. 15min vom Strand enfernt, der meist von Einheimischen aufgesucht wird und mit zwei kleinen Bars zum Verweilen einlädt -Lage nicht direkt im lauten und von zeitweise von Touris überfüllten Zentrum, aber super Verbindung mit Bus (sehr einfach von Endstation zu Endstation mit der 45), der im Schnitt halbstündig und pünktlich kommt + 10min vom Supermarkt entfernt Fazit: Wer nicht unbedingt direkt einen Pool im Haus braucht, der sollte diese wunderschöne Unterkunft jedem 5-Sterne-Hotel vorziehen!!! Wir haben Leute in einem solchen Hotel besucht und festgestellt, dass es wirklich nichts gab, das uns in der Vila Marta gefehlt hätte.

kleiner Mangel: ein ganz klein wenig Schimmel im Bad, wahrscheinlich weil die Feuchtigkeit, die beim Duschen und Baden entsteht, nicht so gut weggeht
