The pool area was very nice. A short boat ride took us to amazing beaches. The food was consistently excellent! There were too few servers at the buffet dinner at times.
Booked to stay two nights but returned later because we liked it so much. Pretty gardens, clean pool, great breakfasts and plenty of scope for walking and bird watching. We will be going back.
Long way out of town, and the courtesy bus finished at 5.45pm, so you need a car or a taxi to get back after a night out. Thr road is much too dark to all at night.
Beautiful hotel and location. A bit disappointed to note that you now have to buy tickets to go on the boat over to the beach as it used to be free!
Need more staff in the bar of an evening and more attention should be given to serving breakfast I.e don't leave the fried egg and omelette counter unattended.
The male receptionist was very helpful on arrival. The hotel had noted we were on Honeymoon and very kindly gave us Bubbly and fruit.
However the place is more like a holiday camp with chalets spread round the site, the restaurant was a huge noisy buffet and we were the only guests to order A la Carte, and they served inedible steak,,,,,. The staff were too busy trying to cope with the feeding frenzy to notice we had walked out. It was not the place for us so we left a day early.
Hotel, Pool ,Staff, Very tranquil and close to its own beach
Courtesy bus did not run Monday or Tuesday
Location, ambience, peace
Mosquitos, poor food
Good central outdoor pool and grassed area. Interesting river estuary location. Meals OK but not special. Complimentary coach to Tavira. Grounds have appeal but could be oven greater exposure through information.
Dated room, and bathroom. Difficult location to find, not well signposted from route 125. Very flat land around and, excluding river, scrubland abounds. Little explanations of area around hotel and history/background of site.
The staff and amenities.
The half board was a waste of time as the choce of food was limited and the food was luke warm. Because of the location older people would have no option but to go for half board.
The overall ambience of the complex is peaceful and in August was fairly civilised. Clientele mostly middle class Portugese with a few well behaved Brit families. Defo a family resort with young to teen children. The beach is very nice too.
The Restaurant Lunches are overpriced and repetitive.
The food and service were excellent.
The accommodation although clean was cramped and not terribly comfortable. The whole experience was like being in a holiday camp!
Very clean. Wonderful hotel for families. Portugal is a lovely country and the locals v welcoming
Mass catering approach to dinner. The young waiting staff were poorly trained and the more mature staff appeared stressed. Shuttle bus and boats finish far too early in the day. Hotel environment not ideally situated for the more mature who wish to explore the local area
The peace and serenity of the location. Rooms were small compared to other places in Portugal. Poolside ambience
The rooms were cleaned but the bathroom wasnt completely checked, leaving it unhygenic Staff in the bar appeared 'not interested', big problem during the World Cup
SITUATED IN AN IDEAL LOCATION, 2K OUT FROM THE MAIM TOWN. A GREAT AREA FOR WILDLIVE VIEWING
Quiet location out of town but with free shuttle into town , pleasant walks and scenery of rio Formosa national park . Staff very helpful with all enquiries and information . EXCELLENT buffet breakfast and at end of stay buffet dinner.
Bar very quiet at night . Room cold for first two days . Maybe we went a little early in season as many things improved during the week
Good situation. We have stayed here several times before. Food was good.
The young man on reception who booked us into the hotel was extremely good and helpful but after that reception staff totally ignored us when we entered or left. A simple good morning/afternoon or even hello would have been pleasant
Lovely view out onto the Rio de Formosa. Spacious accommodation.
Been before, hot food not up to scratch
bird life and staff
outdoorpool in evening suffered from mosquitos- I was baddly bitten in 10 min swimming. Indoor pool was prohibitively expensive for a short swim to get som excercise- Could you make this a time charged facility if you insist onn charging.
Everything except price of indoor swimming pool.
Price of indoor swimmingpool.
Staff, location and quality of the resort was fantastic! The photos, while good, do not do this place justice. Would definitely stay again if I go back to the Algarve. Thanks!!
The overall location and facilities of the pool and lovely little chapel. The lounge area around the pool and poolside cafe. The reception lounge very welcoming and nice for relaxing
The restaurant or should we say cafateria low ceiling dark and food buffet cold! (if you arrive after 8 30) not very interesting extreemly disapointing for a four star hotel. breakfast was an improvement but still not four star
