    Pool area is good

Air Conditioning in room did not work. The fan barely blew air and despite setting the thermostat to 17C, the room did cool down. We slept with only a bed sheet on top of us as we were both hot at night

Location close to the old city. Clean room and spacious bathroom. Nice pool and enough chairs.

Very hard bedding. Overcrowded restaurant. Overall atmosphere in the hotel is like in a hospital! Unpleasant bar.

Location and breakfast good. 2 minutes from river and bars and restaurants

Very noisy, request a room on one of the wings. Hotel invaded by young people attending a competition. When we commented on the noise ( couldn't sit by pool or swim due to them playing football, staff said hotel full!! So they don't care whether your stay has been good Ate in restaurant 1 night. Very poor, smells of frying and was very expensive 22Euros for buffet food!

Great place for a family with all the facilities including great pool

A bit too sterile that isn't quite in keeping with the vibe of Tavira for us.

Everything was good, except the things I wrote in the the other box of thing we didn't like. We do have to mention that because we were checking out early at 5 am, they gave us access to the breakfast buffet, which was very kind.

For a 4-star hotel, there's really a lot that could be improved. - Some staff is not friendly at all. The woman in the bar treated my partner in an inpolite way. The guy at the reception smells like sigaretes. Should people at the reception of a 4-star hotel smell like sigaretes? Another time we asked for a safety pin or a sowing kit for my partners pants. They would bring it to the room, but we never heared anything about that again. - The like to squeeze the guests for money, instead of delivering service. Some examples: the Wi-Fi is free, but only in the lobby. There's good acces in the rooms, buy you have to pay for it. It's 2014 guys, change this policy, and do it quickly. Even the simplest hostel gives you full-access these days. Another example: you have to pay if you want to play pool in the bar. This is absurd. Just let your guests play free pool when they want to play. Another example: the parking is 7.50 per day, even though there's lots of parking next to the hotel for free. The Vila Gale in Vilamoura had free parking, why not the one in Tavira? - The breakfast is very very diverse, but not very good at all. This is the first hotel in my lifetime where the scrambled eggs are horrible. A lot of things are used up and you have to ask the staff to put new plates, otherwise you have to wait for a long time. For example, they have little pots of Nutella, but it was empty. I waited 10 minutes, but no new pot. So I just asked for a new one. There's also a waiter running around like crazy to make sure everybody finds a seat. He's so nervous, it's not really pleasant. He should relax. Breakfast should be relaxing, not stressing. In general, and I'm really weighing my words here, this is probably the worst 4-star hotel I have ever been too. A lot of things are according to expectations, but these annoying details really ruin the stay.

Location, location, location - right in the heart of Tavira which really beautiful - Staff here were amazing - we had booked in for one night but stayed a second as we were so impressed with Tavira.

The style is traditional and I prefer modern

Location in the centre of Tavira. Good buffet breakfast with wide selection of items. Secure underground parking. Good shower.

Hotel decor a bit tiered bedroom's could do with a refurbishment. Staff not geared up to service independent travelers. for example I ordered a pot of tea for two and asked for some biscuits The staff response "biscuits are only provided for Saga guests" I was paying for this order Disappointing service.
