Excellent value for money. Food great with the staff verey friendly. The rooms are of a high standard with the facilities at the hotel impresive I will certainly be using the Gale when I next visit Tavira. Can't really fault the hotel or the staff.

Location Quiet room Good sized outdoor pool Work going on in rooms nearby (some sort of water leak) Terrible problem with mosquitoes in the town of Tavira. Not just a few but swarms of them. We got bitten really badly. I have to say there was no problem at the hotel but we did not eat there at night so can't really judge.

i liked the lay of plan of the hotel very easy to get around, very helpful staff. have a great breakfast buffet, and outside pool area very relaxing, over all we had a wonderful stay. all looked fine to me.

Nice rooms, as long as you avoid the north side that faces a petrol station. Poor service. Understaffed reception. Always some minor annoying hassles.

We liked the situation of the hotel. Staff were courteous and helpful. Rooms were cleaned daily. Breakfast was excellent. Bar service was great.

Despite writing to the hotel re road noise and a very disturbed nights sleep not expected at a 4 star an unempathic answer with no real apology. The hotel was virtually empty WHY give a noisy room???
