The spa The massage therapist The prices The restaurant The little bar The setting The apples and free water
That I had to leave....I love coming to thermal!
Could have done with tea and coffee making facilities in room.
The location in the hills of Monchique is idyllic. Listening to nature outside our window was mesmerising. The Autumn is a lovely time of year, quieter but all facilities still available. Great stress free location.
No spa treatments allowed for me as a recovering cancer patient, with the all clear!! I think it was unfortunate that they limit the things you can do without offering an alternative treatment, but was assured by management they would look into it, which I'm confident they will.
very nice place. near the mountains near the beach.
The various treatments available. I had a facial and body massage by Anna! Both were excellent. The staff in both the hotel and spa were very helpful.
The lack of hot water in the room, also there was a problem with the toilet flush sometimes! And due to the time of year there was no restaurant choice. As my friend has mobility issues it was disappointing that the spa was so far away.
Good selection at breakfast ,the wine was great and a good price a bottle , the spa was great a bit of a walk but worth it.
The resturant food was not really that good , the burger bun was transferred from the resturant to the wine bar so was cold. No where open after ten at night th get a drink
The decor was lovely and the rooms large and comfortabel.. The restaurant was good for both dinner and breakfast.I asked for the plastic coated mattress cover to be removed. I think these are unnecesary and make you hot. The staff came immediately to change.
Having to come out of the villa to go to the restaurant, not far away, but not nice when it rains, as it did the night we stayed.
the views, the peace and tranquility
Air conditioner did not cool the room
Location/setting, views, room and very helpful staff at reception. Excellent breakfast and evening meals. Nearby walks.
O'tasca bar staff disinterested. Noise from the spa extraction until 7pm when it's switched off.
Everything about this hotel was spot on, it's gentile atmosphere makes it perfect for rest and relaxation. The breakfasts were delicious and we couldn't fault the suppers when we ate in. The absolute antithesis to the Algarve.
Nothing we couldn't fault it except maybe the coffee but that really is being picky!
The square. The hotel.
Loud French cycle organiser on telephone! Vichy massage strange!
The room was very nice. It was a good bed and the bathroom had a bad and was as clean as possible. We had a look out over the courtyard. The atmosphere of the room felt cosy. Skip the local restaurants in de spa area. Drive of walk up the hill and after 500 mter you find the best Italian place, hmmmm.
The staf didn't help. They where friendly but they let us sit on a couch for 15 minutes. We were waiting there because is was raining very hard. We were under the assumption that we had to walk 100+ meters to our room. It turned out to be a 3 meter walk and de the lady at the desk knew this and she didn't say anything. The spa circuit is a joke. You have to pay 15€ extra. This isn't on the booking.com site. If you book with them directly is it free! The spa circuit itself is quite old. At the gym 60% of the equipment doesn't work. And the turkish steamroom smells like a sewer. They told us it was because they couldn't use aroma's because of a special treatment for a special group of customers. But that doesn't have to mean that it should smell like a sewer.
The breakfast, facilities & surroundings were good
Not very welcoming staff, especially the bar staff. Room was dated with peeling wall paper & broken safe. Wi fi does not work majority of the time so they should not advertise as a service
The Spa was lovely and the room was spacious and very clean.
Restaurant was expensive. Quality of dishes was average. I expected the food to be better. Only facilities to make coffee in the room. Nothing for making tea.
A haven, very friendly, good food, great walks, a touch of real portugal in the Algarve. Second time back now as love so much.
The resort dont have quality for receive tourist people.
The tranquil setting so beautiful very relaxing not bothered by traffic or just day visitors very spacious
The actual spa was a bit disappointing could do with an update but very minor fault
Location (while quiet and seemingly remote in a good sense, it's only 20 minutes drive from a relatively big seaside town of Portimao if you get too bored), scenery, outstanding value for money.
sub-tropical garden with pool Sumptuous breakfast with home-made jams, freshly baked bread and eggs prepared separately Tranquility of location
Constant noise from the nearby water bottling plant.
Location Pool Restaurant Food
Bed was very hard which might be a cultural difference but I found it uncomfortable.
Location Pool /spa Restaurant Bar Hotel room - suite Views
Perfect spot for relaxation Excellent breakfast with even pancakes and Honey
Nothing at all
The pool area was nice with few people, very calm and relaxing. The breakfast was really good and the location is nice to visit places nearby. The burger in the outside pub was very good.
The bed and the pillows were not very confortable. The room was a litle dated and not very clean when we arrived.
The area and the the staff .
I was primarily given a room at the back and the bottom floor, were the light had to be on all the time. The lighting throughout both in the room and the breakfast area is quite dim making the place a bit dull, better lighting and a splash of colour would enhance the ambience.
we loved the view and the balcony, the bed was large enough for a whole family. The breakfast had a good selection for all tastes.
the spa pool was not included in the rate, there was a discounted extra charge for guests.
