Villa Welwitshia Mirabilis

The friendly, relaxed and personal approach from all involved in this family run hotel. We were made to feel very much at home and nothing was too much for the management and staff to make our stay comfortable. Excellent continental style breakfast with unlimited juice, tea/coffee/ cereals, toast etc. We ordered a cooked 'english' breakfast one day which was excellent.

It was a very friendly place. I was staying on my own and felt very comfortable there and safe. The room was lovely and clean. The pool area was very nice. The whole place has a very calming and peaceful atmosphere. The town was a very short walk away for all the bars and restaurants and noise and bustle. I would recommend Villa Welwitshia to all my friends. You have to remember it is just a B&B so no drinks or snacks available round the pool, but the market and supermarket were a very short stroll away for anything you needed. In the evening before I went out I could sit by the pool with a glass of rose wine and look at the sunset and lovely view.

They did have a bar area so it would have been nice if it was open early evening.

Loved everything about this small friendly portuguese family run hotel. It was relaxing, nice swiming pool, close to the town, yet quite. Very clean.

Beds were a bit hard.

Everything, it was spotless. A very clean, friendly, relaxing, small, portuguese family run hotel. Short walk into the center and yet quite and peaceful, very good value for money, would stay again and recomend to any of my friends.

The only thing I would say on the downside, was the beds were a bit hard.

A very relaxing hotel, close to the shops and sea front, but quite and very clean. Easy access and good parking, breakfast is good and relaxed. Would highly recommend.

Acceuil deficient

Vriendelijk hotel met hele warme eigenaren José en Maria. Héle grote kamer met groot balkon. Uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet met ham, kaas en de overige bekende zaken. Tostiapparaat en broodrooster in ontbijtzaal aanwezig. Internet tegen betaling: 15 min = 1 euro / 30 min. 2 euro - 0,50 euro voor 7 min. Hotel ligt op zeer stille plek en heeft een hele grote privé parkeerplaats en groot eigen zwembad. Zeer fijn verblijf gehad.

Cavoeiro is een leuk klein dorpje. Goed aan te lopen als je nog goed ter been bent. Je kan lekker eten in het dorpje en het strandje ziet er ook erg gezellig uit. Als je van meer rust houdt, kan je heerlijk bij het zwembad zitten. De kamers zijn ruim, personeel erg vriendelijk alleen bij aankomst is alles in het portugees uitgelegd. Wifi doet het goed. Ontbijt is was croissantjes, toast, ham/kaas wat sap/melk/koffie en fruit. Maar voor ons voldoende.

La ubicación es inmejorable, pues se encuentra situado en una zona muy tranquila del pueblo y a apenas 300 mts. del centro y de la playa, por lo que tienes todo a mano (tiendas, restaurantes, oficina de turismo, farmacia, supermercados etc.). Ambiente muy familiar y acogedor y el personal muy agradable y servicial. Nuestra habitación era grande y estaba muy limpia, provista de todo lo necesario. La piscina, aunque es pequeña, está bien cuidada y es ideal para darse un buen chapuzón cuando la canícula aprieta. En fin, nuestra experiencia ha sido satisfactoria, así que yo lo recomiendo. De hecho, pensamos volver. Un saludo.

En recepción casi nunca hay nadie, tienes que buscar al personal en la piscina o esperar (la familia que lo gestiona se toma las cosas con calma, aunque las cosas las hacen bien). Apenas había jabón en el baño. El desayuno era algo limitado, aunque aceptable para un sitio de estas características.

Struttura semplice con gestori cordiali e vicino al centro e alla spiaggia. Buona colazione e piscina x momenti di relax. Buon soggiorno.

Esta muy cerca del pueblo de Carvoeiro, que tiene todos los servicios, restaurantes farmacias,etc...Puedes ir andando en 5 min. Esta muy cerca de la playa andando y muy cerca de innumerables calas y playas en conche. Es un hotel pequeño y sin jaleo.

La television es pequeña y tiene pocos canales en Español. No esta en la camas esta en la salita que tiene la habitación.

Villa Welwitshia has nothing really special ... we had to stop for one day in Carvoeiro and we choose this hotel ! Nothing extraordinary! but the people were friendly and nice ! There were not lots of people to help you to know a little bit more about Carvoeiro and they do not propose a map of the city or giving advices ! Nevertheless it was really CLEAN ! there is a swimming pool which is a good thing when you come back at the villa ! Rooms are quite big Good situation (close to the center but without the noise! )

Not giving advices about the city and there were only one or maybe (two?) people at the reception desk ONLY for our check-in and for our check-out ... so not lots of possibilities if you want to have an advice ! Breakfast is not extraordinary

Prima Hotel!!!!!

Het ontbijt was wat saai en de koffie echt niet te drinken. Voor ouderen is het vanaf het dorp een behoorlijke klim naar het hotel toe.

Petit déjeuner copieux (copieux). Ambiance familiale. Piscine.

Décoration à revoir...

Parking gratuito en la puerta.

Dicen que tienen wifi gratuito en todo el hotel y no llegaba a nuestra habitación. La chica de recepción muy seca. No tenían ni plano de la ciudad ni nos dieron ni consejos ni nada. La habitación muy anticuada, como apartamento de los setenta. TV de 14' a la altura del techo, no se veía nada. Sin enchufes en toda la habitación. Tuvimos que desconectar la nevera para poder cargar los móviles. Habitación cara, aunque los precios del Algarve son altos.

Svært hyggelig personale. Service av ypperste kvalitet.

Kalde rom. Balkongene var uten tilgang til sol.

Situación inmejorable en el centro de Carvoeiro y poder ir paseando a la playa y al centro del pueblo. Parking propio y gratuito. Habitación amplia y con terraza al jardín, que daba a la piscina. Limpieza de la habitación un 10 y personal del hotel y dueños muy amables.
