Out of the big city (Funchal). Quiet, peaceful

Helpful staff, central location, modern decor. Breakfast good selection.

Very modern bathroom fittings, mixer taps awkward to adjust. Looked good, but not very practical.

Couldn't find anything to dislike

A really nice design hotel right in the center of Machico. The room's windows and balcony were facing the sea. The beach is around 300m away. The room was kept clean every day. Good shower with hot water which isn't always a given everywhere in Madeira. The staff was extremely helpful. Hotel's restaurant/cafe was really good and also favored by locals.

No cooking possibilities of any kind, not even a fridge, but we didn't find this to be major problem as we dined out every evening during our stay. The rooms can get quite chilly during winter time as there's no heating. The bathroom smelled at times faintly of sewage. Not really a fault of the hotel but there's not that much to do in Machico. Fortunately Funchal and Baia d' Abra are around 30min drive away.

No pool Bathroom was al ittle cramped Noisy overnight from nightclub across th road No air conditioning meant we left the windows open which didnt help with the noise overnight On our last night we felt that we were second class citizens as there was a party of Germans staying who took over the dining room. We had eaten in the hotel every night until then but objected to being shoved in a corner to accomodate the German party and ate elswhere. Ok for 1 week but wouldn't like to stay a fortnight

The hotel is well located (centre of machico) has a restaurants /cafe and a calm relax atmosphere.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We ate in the restuarant and the food was very good and reasonably priced.

Owners and staff were very friendly. Liked the fact that they had 5 parking spaces in an underground carpark even though I could not fit my tiny car in one space as I would have blocked someone else in.

All parking around the hotel was payable. Lack of swimming pool.

A nice small comfortable hotel with clean rooms and very friendly staff and owners.

Omdat er een overbooking was, kregen wij het penthouse van de eigenaar v.h. hotel aangeboden incl. gratis toegang tot de ondergrondse parkeerruimte aangeboden. Hotel ligt prima t.o.v. strand, winkels, restaurants en uitvalswegen

Personeel mag wel wat vriendelijker. Hoteleigenaar zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Tout était parfait, nous avions une chambre qui donnait sur la mer, très propre, très confortable et insonorisée, aucun bruit. Le personnel est très gentil, bien que ne parlant pas du tout français, mais nous arrivions à nous faire comprendre sans aucun problème.

Absence de chauffage dans les chambres et le restaurant (en Février c'est juste)

Très bien situé, excellent rapport qualité prix, hôtel familial à échelle humaine; très bien entretenu. Le personnel est très serviable et au petit soin pour sa clientèle. Petit déjeuner de qualité.

Wir haben ein Zimmer gebucht und eine komplett eingerichtete Wohnung bekommen. Zum Wochenende konnten wir vor dem Hotel gratis parken ,aber es wurde uns auch eine eigene Hotelgarage angeboten. Frühstück war sehr gut und alles sehr sauber.

Petit bémol : une mauvaise odeur dans la chambre. Le personnel a toutefois tenté de la masquer (changement de chambre impossible car hôtel complet)

Sehr sauberes Hotel, guter Ausgangpunkt für Fahrten über die Insel und aufmerksamer Service.

Das Frühstücksbuffet könnte etwas auswahlreicher sein.
