Service was excellent
Señora Yolanda is a very nice and warm-hearted old woman. We really felt at home. You can use her private kitchen, sit outside in the cute garden or relax in the hammocks. The hostel owners and employees are super honest and helpful. We forgot our camera in the room but noticed it when we were already in Asuncion (6 hours away). Very tranquil she took our address details of the hotel in Asuncion and sent the camera in the next bus so we had it the next day. That could have ended worse! We are very thankful and happy for those honest people. All in all, we had a wonderful stay at casa de la Y although it was just one night.
Nothing to say!
Excellent hostesses that go to every extend to make their guests comfortable. The lady who runs this B&B offers fresh lemonade and facilities whenever possible. Rooms have a/c that runs very well. Bathroom spacious and clean. Only one small dorm and one private, this makes it a tranquil place. Add the large garden and it all makes up for the slightly isolated location.
The young boys in the house can be noisy and rude. But hey, that`s what they are young boys for.
Yolanda (the owner) and her daughter Carol were extremely friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hostel, it's one of the best I've stayed in and is a nice little oasis. You can walk I the river in about 15 minutes during the day but I'd take a taxi home at night. Great stay, if I'm ever in Encarnación again, I plan on staying here!
Yolanda is the nicest host. She makes you a Paraguan breakfast in the morning and does a fantastic job of explaining the city. She called us a taxi several times. The place was clean and simple. Excellent value.
It's a bit out if the main town - but an easy $4.50 taxi ride and very worth it.
Yolanda is very kind and helpfull! Try the dinner at her home. Really nice atmosphere.
Everything was perfect!
Extremely friendly Yolanda is always helpful. The room is spacy, clean and very calm. The garden is a little oasis.
The location is a bit out of the way. But the 30 min. stroll to the center is nice and safe.
Very nice owner, the lady helps with all needs and even with washing our clothes. She is Argentinean, so speaks only Spanish, but that is normal in South America and her daughter speaks good English. We twice had her home cooked food for dinner and liked it very much.
Yolanda, the Y in the name, is an excellent host. She made us feel very welcome. Prices for the beverages that could be bought were very reasonable. The garden is lovely. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The location is not the best, it is a 10 minute walk to get some action. And the neighborhood makes that walk in the evening not advisable on your own. Yolanda does only speak English, so bring your dictionaries or hope for the presence of the daughter or the son in law.
Dona Yolanda is a very very good host and the local dishes she prepares are very tasty. The breakfast is served in the garden. It is like you are with your own family.
spacious room. Good shower but splashed the toilet paper if you weren't careful. The proprietor was really helpful and even did our washing for us. Friendly and English spoken.
Couldn't find a hook for the towels in the bathroom. Spartan breakfast. Difficult to find way into town and slightly dangerous at night.
