1. The nearest shopping mall and supermarket is around 3 Km away. Without a car, it's difficult to get necessary supply 2. Space of shower is really small
Fantastic reception services !
The price Nice big room Taxi into town was cheap and easy to come by.
Food, breakfast was the worst ever. lighting in the room, poor.
Warm welcome . Hotel located in a business area , very close to Promenada Mall and Herastrau Park, transfer provided by reception, free of charge. Rooms are large, clean and well equiped. Breakfast was excelent, with lot of choises. I recommend it and definately come back soon.
The hotel room was extremely clean, which is a plus for me personally.
The only window from the room was broken, which didn't allow for it to be opened. Good that it was not very hot outside, then it would have been a problem. There were no slippers in the room, but there was a bath wrap, which I found strange. Another thing that bothered me is that there were only 2 power outlets in the room, both of them busy: one powering the TV and the other the minibar fridge. It was somehow annoying to unplug the minibar/ TV to be able to charge my cell.
There was poor light in the room.
Alexander hotel advertises as 4 stars hotel, but I never seen before this poor level hotel in that grade. 1. They did not know my reservation through booking.com and they change the room without asking and ask more payment. 2. No room cleaning once during my staying, only 1 tower for a day sometimes. 3. No complementary water and all the drinks are double price than hotel nearby. 4. Laundry service price is almost 3 times expensive than hotel nearby. 5. Very poor breakfast and very expensive restaurant for dinner. I do not recommend this hotel if you expect 4 stars level.
I booked the hotel because it was closed to a meeting I had. That was the only plus, as it turned out.
The staff was late 35 minutes with the waks up call, when asked about it, they said "yes, we know". The lights in the room were not strong enough for reading (no bed lamp) and the shower operated in one of two extremes: icy cold water or boliling water. Impossible to shower.
The room was spacious indeed and very nice (whereas the room I had during my first visit was rather spartanic). Again, food in the restaurant was very good and service also.
The hotel is too far from anywhere. No metro, no bus, no restaurants, no bars - just stray dogs and mostly unfinished or unused constructrions around. However, taxis are cheap in Bucharest (if you don't get cheated...)
Good hotel for good price. Restaurant has good food, but breakfast gets boring after 3 days...
Location is bad. Development area outside town. Only entertainment are stray dogs. No restaurants nearby, next Metro is about 2km away.
