Very unfriendly housekeeping room preparation extremely poor poor breakfast

Spent a weekend there and not by lack of choices. The hotel is huge and rooms are as well. The view.... all I can say is gorgeous all times of the day. Had the room view to the Citadel and it was beyond description, lovely to watch at night in the spot lights, superb in the morning light as well. The spa area, I have to say one of the best I saw lately. The pool is huge, slanted from 1.30 m to 2.10 with a clear sky view plus a kids pool on the side. 2 jacuzzi for 3 people and lots of lounge chairs around. The breakfast had way too many choices so varied it could satisfy all pretentious and non pretentious people. The food was very fresh and refreshed every 10-20 minutes. If there is something to say on the negative side is that the TVs in the room are not updated but if you go to Brasov you don't have time to actually sit and watch tv. Room service was also very prompt. Maid service very polite and discrete, not intrusive like in other hotels. So kudos to the management, keep it up!

Room was very small, breakfast was very poor with very limited options, they charged extra for the use of the spa and it really wasn't worth it - the jacuzzi was small and dirty. The facilities were not what i would expect from a 5 star hotel.

The hotel is generally good however if you compare with any other 5* hotel, they need lots of improvements.

The breakfast was not enough for a 5* hotel.

The location in Brasov is hard to beat.

The staff still seems stuck with the old "communist-thinking". Let's gouge the guest for every dime, instead of let's make the guest's stay pleasant. They were so annoying on several occasions during our stay, that unless there's a change of management, we'll never go back. One of the reception people actually had us go up and re-book the room on our computer instead of simply just adding a day while at reception (a classic example of not being helpful and accommodating). By contrast as I type this, the Radisson Blu in Bucharest is a great hotel. Well run, courteous staff and very helpful and accommodating. A hotel like this would absolutely clobber the Aro Palace - they need a good strong competitor in the worst way.

Reception staff seemed to be out of there depth, had a few problems with not been able to get into my room (broken door) and parking cars been damaged and with both problems the staff could not help.....had to break into my own room and remove scratches made by other customers..... DONT TAKE a GOOD car into there car park, it will be damaged.

excellent location,huge rooms,luxury facilities and very close to old town attractions.breakfast was excellent with hot and cold varieties.bus station nearby was a bonus.staff were well informed and attentive

The staff were freindly and the room was clean

We went to use the pool and facilities and were surprised that we had to pay for each visit and during our swim local children were having swimming lessons which was not ideal. Plus there was no tea/coffee making in the room. We also had to ask for an iron.

Excellent location a short walk from Brasov old town and the cable car to the mountain. Situated opposite the 'Central Park' with views from the room. Staff were first class and the rooms were also of a good standard. Generally a nice hotel and of a good local standard, clearly a building that has had some refubishment, but there still remains areas that look rather dated.

Using the main reception / hall area for functions is a big minus especially as it is only temporary screening used. This effectively negates use for resident guests..more thought needs to go into this huge expanse in terms of use. Breakfast is mediocre at best, the choice is limited and the hot options are luke warm and rather sad with cold plates to eat off of. Whilst the pool and spa facilities are a good standard these are not included in the price of the hotel stay and guest have to pay to use them -another big minus! The rather glossy website promises more than it delivers in reality, Aro Palace is a good option and I would use it again but although it rates as a 5 star, this should be regarded as local standard. By international standard at best it would only reach 2 - 3 star for food and at a push 4 star overall. If you expect this then it should not dissapoint.

no wifi in room. The breakfast is terrible. And service from bar and waiters is terrible, there were a couple times I sat down and waited for over 10 minutes for someone to even talk to me. There was a wedding during the weekend with loud music until after midnight. I won't stay here again.

The location is great. The rooms can offer nice panorama over the city.

Non e un hotel di 5 stelle Europee ma un hotel di 5 stelle rumene perché hanno solo cucina tradizionale... Il caffè espresso era pessimo Poi per andare a fare una lampada nella spa Dell albergo senza nessun tipo di crema di protezione mi sembra assurdo..:(( Poi dipende tutto dalle abitudini che ha. Diciamo che sarebbe da migliorare il ristorante, di avere più scelta e fastidioso che si fuma da per tutto, nonostante io sono fumatrice c'era fumo dappertutto, pero questo succede in tutti I ristoranti in tutta Romania purtroppo

Internet non funzionante. Fornito cavo in dotazione , ma in camera non c'era la presa adatta. Il wifi non e' disponibile. Mi sono recato al bar , prima di cena, ho chiesto di avere un aperitivo con qualcosa da mangiareinsieme ( patatine, arachidi o simili ) ma non avevano niente

Am contactat personalul doar la receptie si la restaurant. Excelent la receptie la sosirea in hotel -28.10.2012, dimineata- ,deplorabil la receptie la plecarea din hotel -29.10.2012, mediu spre bun la restaurant (cineva trebuie totusi sa-i invete pe chelneri, macar la restaurantul unui hotel de lux, ca vinul trebuie intai degustat de cel care l-a comandat si doar daca este agreat de acesta trebuie servit celorlalte persoane de la masa, ca doamnele sunt servite inaintea domnilor etc.) Mi-a placut curatenia camerei, nota scazuta la confort pentru ca in camera era un miros persistent de tutun, desi cerusem camera de nefumatori. Amplasamentul hotelului este imbatabil. Tinand cont de toate punctele, bune si mai putin bune, pretul pe noapte pentru o camera este exagerat de mare.

Personalul de la receptie, din dimineata zilei de 29.10.2012, a avut o atitudine de neimaginat pentru niste angajati ai unui hotel care pretinde sa ofere servicii de lux. Invitatii nostri, care asteptau sa cobor din camera pentru a parasi hotelul, au fost abordati, in timp ce se odihneau pe fotolii, de personalul receptiei, fiind intrebati daca si-au platit camera. Este pentru prima oara in 30 de ani in care am calatorit in peste 25 de tari cand aud asa ceva. Eu ii asigurasem pe invitati ca plata s-a facut deja, pe cardul meu, cu care rezervasem cele doua camere. Intrucat cu 24 de ore inaintea sosirii nu am anulat rezervarea facuta pe booking.com, suma urma sa fie debitata de pe cardul meu. Cei de la receptie au spus ca cele 2 camere nu erau platite, situatie in care invitatii mei au achitat camerele. La venirea mea in hol, nu mai era nimic de facut, plata fusese efectuata. Am solicitat explicatii la receptie, primind raspunsuri iritate si nepoliticoase, la limita bunei cuviinte, din partea tanarului care era de serviciu. Este o amintire extrem de dezagreabila, pentru care nu voi recomanda acest hotel altor persoane. Voi povesti episodul tuturor prietenilor mei, pentru a-i preveni despre riscul de a gasi la receptie lucratori neprofesionisti si prost crescuti, care aduc deservicii angajatorilor lor, indepartand clientii in loc sa-i fidelizeze.

Micul dejun este la nivel de 3*- Mult sub nivelul hotelurilor de 4* din Sibiu , Cluj sau Timisoara

Lage und Einrichtung, gleichbleibend freundliches Personal, Zimmereinrichtung

Safe nur mangelhaft mit zwei 2mm dicken Schrauben befestigt. Im ersten Zimmer war er sogar ganz lose. Nach meiner Reklamation habe ich allerdings innerhalb von 10 Minuten ein neues, gleichwertiges Zimmer bekommen.

Les chambres sont grandes ,spacieuses.

L'isolation phonique entre les chambres n'est pas parfaite ainsi qu'avec le couloir.Des petits details, dans la chambre, de vieillissement seraient pourtant faciles à arranger et redonneraient le luxe à cet hotel 5 etoiles.

Singurul avantaj este amplasarea centrala.

Hotelul nu este nici pe departe un hotel de 5 stele cum se vrea a fi,exista multe alte hoteluri si in Brasov si in alte localitati cu mai putine stele si mult mai bune.Incepand cu personalul de la parcare care se vaicarea la toti clientii ca primesc salariu de 500 de lei pe luna si terminand cu curatenia din baie care lasa de dorit,cada sparta curgea apa ,la tocul usii era rugina.Nu mi-a placut ca parcarea era cu plata si foarte scumpa iar folosirea piscinei era de asemenea contra cost si foarte scumpa.Zgomotul de afara patrundea in camera si nu ne-am putut odihni bine plus muzica de la nunta.A fost prima si ultima data cand am locuit in acest hotel,mitul ARO Pallace este pentru mine uitat.
