Topaz Hotel  

1. Even if we had to pay extra, we were allowed with our pet (a 25 kg young dog). Our dog made a mess because of soil from a flower pot, but they clean it up without questioning us 2. We loved the downstairs restaurant: "Ciuleandra" EXCELLENT food, EXCELLENT service, EXCELLENT Romanian traditional ambiance (they have a real fire place with real wood, and the majority of the light in the room is made by candles, stone walls, etc...) 3. It's a good 3 stars hotel (don't expect a 4 star)

1. Not very easy to found, but with a good map or a gps you should have no problems of this kind (or you could ask the locals taxis that are very nice) 2. it is not far from the old city center, if you have a car, but it is located in a residential neighborhood, not very touristic 3. it is getting a little bit old, it is not old yet, but is starting to show signs; it will need a renovation in a few years time

It was clean for a romanian hotel...

The worst customer service ever. 10 days before the check-in I was charged for a full refundable reservation; when we have asked for an explanation they said it's normal to charge for a non refundable booking :)) The waiter in the restaurant yelled at us because we asked him some questions about the menu and we kept him busy. We got an upgrade from a double to a junior suite - probably because they have filled all the available rooms and free spaces with a conference... And when my daughter -who has booked separate from us- asked the reception to pay for the bills transferred on her room she was told that there is nothing to pay and she can just check out although they were once again wrong. After 3 days they called and told me that they should charge my card because it was a mistake in the system and they couldn't see the ammounts. In my opinion the management not the customers have to pay for things like this by signing a resignation.

Gentilissimo e disponibile lo staff dell'hotel. Abbiamo anche noleggiato un auto ed ha pensato al tutto la ragazza della reception. Preso a offerta la junior suite, stanza e bagno grandi e puliti. A circa 10/15 minuti a piedi dal centro. Lo consiglio

Si. Al nostro arrivo la suite non era riscaldata!Lo abbiamo dovuto comunicare alla reception.Grandissima ingenuità!

Nette kamer, goede schoonmaak, goede service, gratis internetverbinding op de kamer.

Het ontbijt viel best tegen, niet bijgeboekt, maar wel een keer geprobeerd, niet voor herhaling vatbaar, producten niet zo vers, fruit dat er al paar weken lag, en geen andere gasten die er zaten, om half 10 smorgens.

Short walk to city centre, short taxi ride from airport. Very comfortable bed. Very good value for money.

No tea or coffee in the room! I understand that it's not as big a part of life in Romania as it is in gb though.

The staff was very friendly. The Dining room and breakfast was a delight.

The hotel was a little out dated, it was stepping into a time machine to the 80'S.

We havent internet connection in the room and the remote of the tv dont work.

They have amazing cooks and delicious food. And the reception staff was excellent.
