Conveniently located right next to a bus stop and within 1 km to the Gara de Nord Train and Metro Station and to the Piaţa Victoriei Metro Station, Byzanthin Hostel features air-conditioned...
Score from 197 reviews Good
Very convenient if you are staying at the Gara de Nord. The hotel is very good despite the street it is located on. Good clean rooms.
Nice room and very good location
The bed sounds like hell, you can hear every sound in the other rooms, the wifi dont work in the room, only in the corridor
The room was very clean.
The wi-fi signal was very poor in my room.
It is really close to central part, you can basically walk to the Old Town. Beautifull ladies on reception desk although their English is far from good.
Huge problem with parking places. The parking was too small, although was written no reservation was required, they talld me I should left the car outside (there are a lots of gypsies near by), because no places are available. If you leave the place with you car you just cannot find a place after. One night I should "fight" with security guard since "8:00 p.m. is too late for him to open the parking area". For 5 nights the room was not being cleaned even one time. I do not think I will book again.
Huge room, balcony with a view on the parliament, not too far from the railwaystation so easy to catch your train!
The hotel is quite near to the main railways station and the bus final stop (when coming from the airport and going there by bus).
Close to the train station Friendly staff
The area is very run down A lot of people hanging around the street through out the day and night A long walk from the centre
Good prices ,private parking !
Good staff, clean large enough rooms, air condition, fridge, guarded garage, balcony... Really nice hotel.
A lot of homeless/gypsies on the street during evening/night - screaming, fighting etc, so the street looks unsafe
Bed was perfect.
Strange area, unhelpful stuff, wet (!!!) bed-linen - no change after asking, we booked parking place, but no reserved
The street, it's very poor and you feel bad confronting the look of the poor people staring at you each time you leave the hotel or come back to it. The staff is not friendly, not a smile once, a bit far from the center. If you can avoid it, I am sorry but do avoid it.
close to gara de nord, cheap
that was the worst hotel I have ever stayed. Located in very bad neighborhood, looks like very dangereus. No curtain in shower, it's hard to take shower. Wifi is very slow. There is no air condition (there was but it's unpluged) No room cleaning service. They didn't bring new towels and new toilet paper in 3 days. I bought it from market. Avoid
Location is close to downtown Bucharest.
poor to non-existent wi-fi signal
We wanted to stay near the Gara de Nord as we arrived late and were leaving again in the morning so didn't want to pay too much. It was very clean.
There was nowhere nearby in the evening to get anything to eat or drink and no facility in the hotel to get a hot drink. Had to go back to the train station to get some food. We arrived about 9pm and the area felt a bit undesirable! At 98 Lei for a double room you get what you pay for. The duvet was too small for a double bed - we found this in a few hotels in Romania.
Staff was nice and helpful.
Location was not so great, water pressure was inadequate for a proper shower on the top floor.
this is the worse place I saw in my life. You think it is cheap because you don't know life rate in Bucarest
The service was great, they really speak spanish, all the personal was so nice
Nice staff. Clean and comfortable room..Aircondition. Close to metro and the main railwaystation. A good price.
A poor gipsyarea. I stayed here 12 nights and was never bothered by anyone.
- fresh renovated room
- no electricity plugs - there is no way you to charge your phone or laptop. if you have to do that, you have to switch off your TV or fridge - almost impossible to close the bathroom door - to do so, you have to shut it with force and not always works that way - the trap in the shower cabin was blocked up and once water goes inside it comes out from the other siphon in the bathroom. Also, the bathroom is not constructed well and water stays on the floor instead of going towards the siphon. As result, the whole bathroom is wet and slippery all the time. - no bulb in the bed lamp
