Casa Cranta  

This was a truly excellent small hotel - the service, location, accommodation were all exemplary. We particularly enjoyed the view from our room and from the restuarant terrace outside. The breakfast was also excellent.

The only thing that could be a problem (but wasn't for us) is the lack of a lift, which could prove problematic for those with mobility difficulties.

The fanciest hotel I stayed in in Romania. Excellent value, as well. If you are a couple and do not want medicre surroundings, this is excellent value. Superb. They even give you Terrycloth robes....Now how is that? I rate my top hotels using the Robe guide.

The hotel is hard to find, so I had to pay for a taxi. Rip off. Also, the road to the hotel is closed off for construction, so even tho I paid for a taxi, I had to drag my luggage up the hill, which was being torn up. Hotel grounds are also being dug up and repaired. My room overlooked the repairs, so I heard them ticking, ticking all day long.

The hotel was clean.

The door of the room is very, very thin, so that you can hear the rest of the guest when going out of their room, the cleaning staff when walking through the corridors etc.

Pretty nice location(even if surroundings are under construction), nice view on the old city. Very nice front office staff. Cosy rooms ( more in boutique hotel style). The location is a mixture between old and modern styles.

No elevator and no help for the luggage (even if we had a 3 months baby with us). Poor breakfast-really poor. You have to ask if you want more or if you want any omelet or other hot stuff. No such a great value for money. Quite expensive for this kind of hotel.

Casa Cranta is a wonderful choice if you travel to Brasov. We travelled in a group formed of two families and we booked two apartments. Our rooms (as the most ones in the hotel) had a magnificent view over Brasov. The rooms are really spacious, well designed and clean. The hotel is furnished elegantly, displaying an eclectic collection of antiques and Art Nouveau furniture and ornaments. The staff is very polite and helpful. The location is excellent, just 10min walk from the old town of Brasov . However, if you decide to walk from Casa Cranta into Brasov, be prepared for a little walk up the hill when you are coming back. An alternative option is booking a taxi and taxis are widely available in Brasov and quite cheap.

The Pension was fantastic, we stayed in one of the suites and it was superb with charming decor with great views over the city and mountain. The hotel itself was very clean and tidy, the room service and food excellent. The staff were incredibly helpful in arranging some special requests linked to our stay and were able to organise some trips to Bran and Peles etc at extremely short notice. Overall a great Pension that we would definitely recommend and will be returning to.

Just to be aware that this is a boutique Pension and not a Hotel in that it has superb rooms and dining and great access to anything that you need but is not a large chain hotel with the assorted facilities.

Great location at the city centre, great view over the city, palace type atmosphere, classical, personal room, parking place for car

Walking distance from the town center. George was very helpful. Within easy driving distance of Dram, Rasnov and Peles.

The breakfast wasn't great. The fruits were canned and the restaurant was a little dusty.

Really pleasant atmosphere with helpful staff. thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing visit and very handy for exploring Brasov. Strongly recommended.

The view from our room was beautiful. The staff was exceptionally accommodating. The decor was interesting and tasteful. The breakfast offered a fine variety of choices.

The mattress/bed was not up to the quality level of the rest of the hotel.

Good location wtih great view. Services OK. Just quiet place. Room was OK, but very far from 4 star, only bathroom was on 4 star level.

Hard to find, missing any navigation on the street.

M-au impresionat amabilitatea staffului hotelier, stilul pitoresc, dar si exigenta curatenie a camerelor. As recomanda Casa Cranta si pentru amplasarea convenabila, la doar cateva minute de centrul Brasovului. Restaurantul a fost si el la inaltimea asteptarilor, avand o oferta variata de mancaruri, accesibila din punct de vedere al preturilor.

Singura experienta nefavorabila a fost legata de noaptea de Revelion, cand cheia camerei mele a fost lasata la vedere la receptie.
