the room room that was located up from mine was very noisy u can hear foot steps loudly all nite long :/
polite staff and helpful
heating goes off in the middle of the night
Large screen TV, lots of channels, good wi-fi, very warm room. Everything was perfect.
Mostly, the place is cheap.
Bit hard to get to, and remote from the Brasov Old Town. Also, weird plumbing noises in the night (as in, a loud grinding-rusting-chattering sound, repeated like clockwork -- gave me a scare the first few times).
The owner is very helpful, very clean place, close to the city center, excellent wi-fi.
Easy to get to with a car. Perfectly adequate, and cheap.
Quite a long way from the tourist old town area. Not much character to the place itself.
Great place. Silent, comfortable. Polite staff. Hope to stay there again.
clean, easy to find, near train station, close to city center (5 minutes by car, 20 minutes walking)
it was very cold in the room during the night
Location was good, quite close to Brasov old town and bus and train station. The staff were very friendly and helpfull. They called taxis for us and sorted out train time tables for excursions and gave as much info as they could. Would definatley stay there again. Excellent value for money.
My room smelled of smoke when I first entered but a window open for a bit soon sorted that out.
Excellent Staff who helped get me a ride to bucharest airport and were friendly spoke great english. Beds were good room was big, nice shower everything a hotel should be. Great wifi to
nothing everything was good
Arrived late in the evening so only a short taxi ride from train station. Warm rooms, specious, slippers. Very helpful staff with great english and information. Really good value for money
If you wish to stay closer to the centre then you may wish to look elsewhere but otherwise there is nothing wrong with this place.
- personnell very nice, we initially booked 3 nights, but finally we stayed 7, they arranged that we can keep the same room! - daily clean towels and glasses - 81cm full hd samsung tv, fridge, watter kettle included Overall very pleasant stay.
- plumbing issues in bathroom(toilet broken) - thin walls, you can hear everything - big gap under the door into the common hallway=noise, light
Unusually themed place :-) Excellent friendly staff Cheap Fair location
Parking a bit hit or miss Tiger pattern blanket on the bed (!)
The staff was excellent, trying to do their best to make us comfy. Location is excellent, very close to the city centre. Plenty of parking places comparing to the rest of the city where you can hardly find a place to park. Quiet and safe for families with children. Beddings were clean.
We had the apartment which was huge but very old. The smell of an old house was everywhere. The kitchen wasn't clean, stains of cooking oil everywhere. Different mixed pieces of furniture makes the room look like a warehouse.
I had a very large room for a fantastic price. Although a few things need repairing, these are minor and didn't bother me at all. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and the wi-fi is super fast.
I wish I didn't have to criticise anything, but the soundproofing in room 1 is non-existent. Whether it's people talking in the hallway, voices and moving around in the room above or a particularly annoying dog barking outside, my sleep was disturbed every night. I should have asked to move but I liked the room so much! Just something to note if you're sensitive to noise.
Convenient location between train station and old town. Both around 15min walking time from the Hotel.
Everything, spcially the lady attending the reception qhen I got there, very nice and helped me to get a transfer to Bucharest Airport by the next day.
Friendly staff, clean, cheap, comparatively close to center.
Not enough parking lots. But its not critical for SUV - many sidewalks around :)
Location Price Clean
staff were brilliant breakfast was lovely the main staff knew enough English to help me with what I needed. the place was clean. when there was a problem with the water it was fixed quickly. I would highly recommend it as a place to stay
2 dogs from neighbouring houses made a lot of noise
flexible check in times, friendly staff, very clean, safe, and quiet location. Very comfortable and spacious room with shower and wc. Flat screen tv, small fridge, and reliable wi-fi. Located between the train station and the old town. About 20 to 25 minute walk to the old town.
the bed sheets were clean but there were some small particles in the air that made me develop a cough and a sore throat. However, I can't say for sure that it was due to something in the cleaning process of the sheets, or if it was something i was coming up with.
very friendly staff, good location, clean rooms
Half way between city centre and train station, which is useful for arrival and day trips by bus or train (eg, to Bran) The apartment was nice and big and perfect for our group of friends
One of us found the sheets a big scratchy.
The main asset here has to be the staff, who were unfailingly helpful and charming and went out of their way to assist with travel arrangements, maps, advice etc. My room was spacious and well set-out, with a comfortable bed, seating area and bathroom with constant hot water and a good shower. I also had a balcony (though not all rooms do) and the room included a fridge and kettle, which was really useful. Casa Samurai is located in a residential area and so has the advantage of being quieter and more relaxed than some town centre operations, while being close enough to said town centre for even the slowest walker to be there in 15 minutes. I really enjoyed my stay there!
This hardly qualifies as a gripe, but if you're a light sleeper, take earplugs and an eye mask, as due to the structure of the - very attractive - building (heavy wooden doors etc) there is some noise from other rooms, and the curtains, though pretty, aren't lined, so light does sneak through. As I said though, in comparison with all the good things, not really an issue!
