The wonderful location has a downside. Check to see what city events are happening before you go. We were there during (September) Oktoberfest. The festival was great fun, so that was a plus. But the music was very loud and ran late. Then when it was finally over, they broadcast a professional football game on the big screen. The room was not air conditioned, which would have been no problem except we could not shut out the noise. None of this is the Hotel's fault, of course, but it's just something to look out for.
The location, right on the lovely central square, is perfect. The staff could not have been more helpful. They gladly shared their knowledge of their city, which was new to us, and had all kinds of good advice. One even helped us obtain some homemade tsuica, my new addiction!
