An ordinary city in Romania.
Wouldn't put it on my map to visit it .
The surroundings might be of interest but I really cannot testify to that nor against as I only stayed in the city.
Beautiful girls / women ( as I married one from Bacau and visiting for the past 9 years ), a few good places to eat out, a few clubs. So there might be some night life.
Use it as a base would make sense.

Bacau has an airport so that is why most people go, it is not a bad place to spend a couple days, the people are friendly enough prices are not too high and then you can drive somewhere else. Like Onesti, a 30 mile drive south to see where Nadia Comaneci was born.

I thought Bacau is a beautiful city.
I thought Bacau is a beautiful city. The Christmas lights were amazing. The town is very active. Lots of people out and about but minding their own business unless you ask for help. I loved the small food shops. The food was excellent. Things are about 200-300% less expensive than in America. Very nice city.

Deserted big city, nothing much to do there except for few museums. All people seem to have nothing else better to do than to follow you around and listen to your conversations... just business there, nothing else!
One of the most hospitable host we have encountered in our trips. Very kind and carefull to the guest needs. The location is in a very quiet neighbourhood, where you can enjoy the dark sky over Bacau. Very clean, with all the the facilities we needed. Whenever in Bacau, we will return for sure.
The room looked beautiful. Lighting, insect net at the window, usb charging directly from the nightstand lamp. Comfortable bed with extra pillows. Air conditioning was excellent. Pool was awesome, though at the shallowest point it did measure 1.6 m. Also first hotel that has smart tv in a room.
The room and establishment was well over my expectations, even well over some of the most prestigious, far more expensive hotels in town.
Particularly liked the private parking.
Host was friendly and very helpful.
Very clean, and large bedroom and bathroom.
The hotel looked grand and lavish.
The room was very clean. Towels, bedsheets were ultra white and crisp.
The electronics were all latest gen.
The minibar stacked with good selection of drinks
Design and interior decorations nicely thought out.

It take you 10 minutes to arrive in every point in BACAU, so very good position.

The host ist extremely helpful and makes sure that everything is to the client’s liking.
Felt really good every time I stayed here and will come back when being in Bacău.
The price-service ratio in the centre of Bacău is unbeatable.
Breakfast buffet is outstanding. Front desk staff was extremely helpful and accommodating of my last minute change of plans. Location is perfect for sightseeing. I enjoyed two satisfying dinners in hotel's restaurant.
An excellent location to relax, to isolate from the daily job routine with a lot of facilities and excellent cuisine.
If I will return to Bacau I will book Karo Hotel again, for longer.
