Christina Hotel  

The staff was exceptionally attentive and caring - from the moment we arrived until the waving goodbye in the taxi. I haven't had service like this in years! The rooms were impeccably clean. We had been on a volunteer project for a few weeks prior to our arrival at Hotel Christina. The adjustable beds, blackout drapes, a/c and plenty of water, coffee and nutritious breakfast was welcomed, almost with tears in our eyes! And, most impressive - no leaking shower! The first in Romania and actually thru much of our Eastern European travels. The "welcome" snack and wine was a touch that made our day. Thank you! Highly recommended!

The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was excellent comparing with other Bucharest hotels. The room was clean and with an espresso machine in it.

There were no Romanian music channels on the cable-TV, I missed the Etno-TV and Taraf-TV that I saw in other hotels and that give a certain Romanian feeling. The location of the hotel is not ultimate: It can be difficult to walk there from nearby heavily trafficed and polluted Piata Romana, because of cars parked everywhere in the side walks. This is of course not to blame this particular hotel, but it is nevertheless something that everyone in the tourist business of Bucharest ought to bring up with politicians or police so that they finally do something about it. It really ruins the whole impression of the city and makes at least me hesitating about going there again.

Nicely decorated rooms. A big plus for the electric beds and the designer cosmetics in the bathroom. BUT...

the management staff of the hotel want to keep the utilities bill low. So, at -10 degrees Celsius outside, the room needed heavy heating. But, although the heater was very heat, the room still was very cold. And, as a bonus, during the night the heaters were turned off by the hotel. Also, the air conditioner didn't work on heat mode.

Staff very friendly and helpful, great restaurant and bed with ergonomic mattress great to rest your legs after visiting the city. Good localization in sector one near the subway station Piata Romana. Free parking and wifi-internet.

From the room in the first floor we could hear a little bit of noise in the morning.

I cannot say enough about this superb accommodation! Not only is the staff attentive and accommodating beyond belief, but the owner himself is super friendly, full of useful information, and humerus! My husband, myself, and our 18 month old were made to feel so welcome. The hotel is fully equipped to deal with young children, which was very refreshing, as we have been traveling around Europe for 6 weeks and this was the first hotel to accommodate all of our child's needs (baby cot, high chair, large room,room service, etc... the hotel offers it all!). We were also able to take a brilliant tour of Transylvania and the surrounding country side ....all booked by the hotel for extremely reasonable rates. Whenever we visit Bucharest, this will have to be our first choice, as they are by far the very best! P.S. My hair has never felt healthier, the shampoo at the hotel is brilliant!

The kindness of all people wotking in the hotel, 24/7 available for you and helping you.The rooms were very confortable and very efficient with many nice details (bathroom, coffee machine Nexpresso, Bed, etc).The food is very very good.

The staff at the Hotel is one of the best I have found not in terms of internationnal standards but by how much they try their best to make your stay comfortable. Very very rare unless you go to the good five stars hotels (not the fake ones) with a real concierge. It is perfect for a little week end get away. Recommend their restaurant and the car service for airport transfers. Great breakfast.

The lobby is kind of small, I was there for business, so depending on the image of your company or the one you want to project to your business partners may not be for you. We still had our meeting in the lobby. The best part is that you do not wait long to be waited on. Still I think it is a great place to stay in Bucharest. Highly recommend this place.

Excellent hotel - one of the best I have stayed at. Very good facilities in room. Hotel design is great - very stylish without being pretentious. Friendly helpful staff. Excellent food - both breakfast and dinner (Inc a great value €15 set dinner). Good central location, but down a nice quiet side street.

Hard to fault this excellent room. It was the most expensive place we stayed in Romania - but it is central Bucharest and you do get what you pay for.
