Staff, best hotel staff ever met. Bernie the dog. Food was five star. Location beautiful.

On the website the picture of the castle is deceiving, you aren't that close.

The hotel was very inviting with living areas with wood fireplaces at both ends for guests to relax and enjoy playing cards, watching tv, and hang out with friends. It was conveniently located near Bran Castle and the staff was very accomodating to our every request. They not only set up a shuttle for our large group from Brasov but also booked us a private tour of the castle and packed us breakfast to go for our early train back. Of course our favorite staff member was Bernie, the St. Bernard, who gretted us immediately upon our arrival and by our departure we wanted to take him home with us! The restaurant served great food and the food presentation reminded me of top restaurants in larger cities. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The shower rooms in a couple of the rooms leaked water into the bedroom but they were quick to get it cleaned up.

Excellent communication prior to our stay with the staff - we chose this hotel as we wanted a view of Bran castle, although it does have one & fantastic other views we were disappointed that the photo on the advertisement its not reflective of the castle view which must have been taken with a telephoto lens. We opted for the suite with spa bath (well worth the upgrade) room was perfect apart from the hard hard bed but this is the norm for eastern Europe. The road to hotel is a dirt track & steep but we drove up it in our minibus no problem in November but when snowing this may be a problem. Breakfast good. Staff very friendly, as is Bernie the St Barnard dog. Overall a nice place to stay.

Not so close to Bran Castle a it might suggest but we still managed to walk there& back no problem but it will get the lungs working on the way back. Only real negative was the quality of the evening meal for the price paid, plus they tried too hard to push expensive wines saying they didn't have any house or lower priced wines in? Having searched booking.com I would say there are better deals in Bran BUT if budget isn't a problem & you want a hotel at the top of the world with views to match then thus is for you.

Excellent staff, very nicely decorated hotel. The restaurant's menu is absolutely delicious. The owners went out of their way to make our stay there the most pleasant. We went there for halloween 2012 and the atmosphere was great.

Strange relationship between the personnel

The hotel itself was beautiful. I loved the design. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to see to my friend and my comfort.

The only thing I did not like about the hotel was the bed. I felt like I was sleeping on box springs.

This hotel is actually a big villa. It is really nice overall, the rooms are very nice, really clean, a real 4 stars hotel. The hotel staff is very helpful and attentive, always wanting to serve you in the best way possible. We really liked the hotel and highly recommend it. We received an email from the hotel's staff explaining how to reach the location and according to their indications it was really easy to find it. It is located in a quiet area where you can actually hear the roosters, the sheep and the dogs, really really nice.

The hotel room's window was next to the restaurant where they were playing quite loud music throughout the day. I would have appreciated not to hear the music but actually enjoy the silence of the mountains. However, in the morning they did not play the music so we appreciated that they allowed us to sleep. The 800 meters country road to get to the hotel is also not something easy... It's quite a rough road and the entrance in the parking has quite a big inclination which makes it hard for small cars (especially full of heavy luggage) to climb it.

Warm welcome, even upgraded to rooms with glorious views (having stayed before). Having arrived late afternoOn after long drive we wanted a meal. Nothing was too much trouble..food was freshly cooked and the sauce for our steak was delicious. Wine excellent also and views to Bran Castle breathtaking. Clean rooms and great nights sleep in cozy beds. We will return when possible!

I really liked their idea of mixing old and new in the design of the rooms and all the homemade goods .

At Hotel Contele Vladimir we felt very much at home. It was kept clean and comfortable with added luxury. With breakfast included we had a choice from a variety of foods which tasted great and weren't limited. The hotel is a short walk away from Bran Castle, souvenir shops and grocery stores. It was high enough on a mountainside to view the town below and valley surrounds as well as a view of Bran Castle. It was also far enough from the main road through town to not be bothered by traffic and people. The staff were very friendly and most speak fluent English as well as their native Romanian. They have a bar and restaurant with good prices for great food and drinks which you can enjoy on a balcony table overlooking the valley while watching the sun setting over the mountains.

The location is great, a quiet place with a beautiful view over the mountains and Bran Castle. The room is nicely decorated, the bathroom too, and the overall facilities are cosy and pleasant. The food is also very nice in the restaurant.

The access is not the easiest but for a 4x4 car. The most inconvenient thing for us was the mattress in the twin room, which was firm like a board, we left the place with terrible back pains. We stayed in the past in a double bed room at this hotel and the mattress was really comfortable.

The hotel is very well situated, with great view of Castle Bran and the surrounding county side, the hotel room is clean, the food delicious, and the staff very friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back and this time take my wife with me.

it's not the hotel's fault, but the access road is not paved (800m). No complaints whatsoever regarding the hotel.

Perfect hotel, great location with stunning views to the castle. Amazing, welcoming staff. Great food. Would recommend to anyone (you would need a car).

Best hotel I found in Romania. Friendly and professional staff. Nice food and comfortably rooms. Strongly recommended.

The only cons I would mention is that some rooms face the bar so may be affected by noise. The access to the hotel is not the best, but suitable for any car.

Trato del personal fenomenal, sin estrés y personalizado. Confort , diseño , naturaleza a muy buen precio. Desayuno de lujo con vistas al castillo de Vlat. Tienen a un San Bernardo muy dócil y cariñoso que te da la bienvenida. Un 10!!! Muy recomendable
