perhaps breakfast staff didn't know that some people get in late because they had a late night/early morning flight?

The range of the hotel is generally good,but it needs a renovation to be excellent ( ex : old furniture ...)

running water was brown...for 3 days...nowhere else was this so on sibiu bathtub drained onto floor with A permanent drain onto floor arrangement!! cigarette smoke, smoke, smoke..the whole floor #322 was smoke filled and we had asked for non-smoking

Fantastic location at the corner of the main square and in the heart of pedestrian area. Very positive value for money in an historical palace recently and well restaured.

Bad maintenance and handling of installations. Personal not friendly specially at the reception. An hotel that seems not to be managed in an appropriate way considering it is a beautiful palace and that the rooms are OK for confort, furniture,... Very beautiful rooms but with the cables of electricity ready for court-circuit ...

OK, so the rooms are not terribly big, but this hotel has *style*! The lobby, the rooms, and don't forget the restaurant. No standard chairs or furtuniture, but old-style in painted wood, and very tasteful. And don't miss the telephones in the reception! We should also not forget that the location is smack in the centre in Sibiu.

The hotel would be even better if it converted itself to a smoke-free facility; there was a smell of smoke everywhere in the hotel. OK, so this is Romania, but they should give it a thought.

The list goes long starting from the horrible interior with the horrible furniture, the horrible customer service at reception, to the horrible breakfast. I wish i could have met the owner and heard his point of view about having such a prestigious location building with a beautiful exterior elevation and not capitalizing on that by refining and renovation the interior and upgrading the capacity and the quality of the services provided by the staff. I would die to hear his point of view.

Good rooms, excellent location. They supplied us with a card for parking in the area for a very low price. Breakfast was OK.

There was a party going on with a lot of music and noise until midnight. We had two rooms, one of which was at the backside, which suffered from this inconvenience (although they shut the open roof of the hall at 11.30 upon our request). It was very hot in the hotel rooms, but this was a consequence of a heat wave during our stay, and the rooms are non-AC.

... but the services and facilities hardly reach the 'fair' level. - A hot summer day in this hotel is a NIGHTMARE !

Ne-a placut locatia ( hotel situat in centrul orasului vechi, foarte aproape de zona de shopping, a teraselor, a Pietei Mari unde se desfasoara activitati culturale de buna calitate, cladiri cu arhitectura deosebita,stradute inguste si pline de istorie), serviciile oferite si amabilitatea staff-ului.

Room was facing the restaurant/breakfeast room side. At our stay there was a party going on producing the necessary decibels, as there was no AC we had to keep open the windows to have bit of cold air. We did not sleep much.

The bed was confortable and the location is excelent. Good WIFI signal also in the rooms

The hotel is very old and bad maintened. The spa didn't work and the pool was smelly. No AC in rooms. Dark corridors. Bad acustic isolation from the corridor noise

Room rather small and congested with unnecessary furniture. Lack of A/C in very hot weather made it very unconfortable.

A magnificent old-world charm with chandeliers, classic furniture. My room, a double for single use had its own staircase up to the bed, with a tv at each level, where I was able to watch on cnn the Jubilee w/e river pageant. Breakfast was included and had a fantastic variety of hot and cold food. There was a sense of homeliness in the hotel, even though it is huge. The location was first class, right in the middle of all the main sights in the old tow.
