The location is extraordinary on a small island. The rooms were very clean and modern.
The bathroom is horrible. It's clean but after having taken a shower the bathroom is like a bathtub flooded with water. Moreover, the walls are extremely thin and thus we could hear people snoring or a baby crying.
My wedding guests stayed there and they all had good words to say about the rooms and the staff. The hotel has a good location and an awesome view of the "ciuperca" lake which is very near to the city center.
Hotel Insula has friendly staff and was a quiet place to spend. I think it is a very good location on the lake. The food was and service was also good at the restaurant.
The only downsides are that if you want a view of the lake you have to two twin beds and like most Romanian hotels the shower makes bathroom floor wet everywhere.
Room overlooking lake was exceptional Hotel was spotless
Breakfast was average
Nice location, clean, and frendly staff!
The restaurant was full in the evening and there was hard to find space to eat.
location, hotel was build in the lake, distance to bus station and the Delta, everything is really close, it's absolutely clean, staff was first not so nice and you have a feeling they don't get much foreigners, but in the end also smiled and were really helpful, there's a restaurant attached to the building (food is not excellent, but ok), most rooms have balkony
the only thing, the walls are very thin and you will hear your neighbors talk if they are loud
The personal was ok.
In the room it was very cold. Ask before the reservation id they have fixed the heating issue.
We liked the hotel, the location, the staff.
Your restaurant could include some more dishes for vegetarian people, a pizza would be a welcome addition
Hotel is almost new. Room was very clean.
AC installed in rooms is not well dimensioned to cool it.

Clean, nice view over the lake, good restaurant
The bathroom needs a bit of upgrade.
The view from our room on the lake was magical The hotel restaurant has a lot of charm It is located very near the boat trip to the Danube Ability to easily park the car
Breakfast is not quite complete (it is more expensive than taken directly to the restaurant) Beware of mosquitoes in the room (though there is a fly in the window)
no hot water in the shower, only warm enough not to shiver. night club in close proximity, loud music until 5am, no sleep quality whatsoever. average breakfast.
Location next to main bus stop, right in the lake, restaurant & bar attached, very clean, environmental driven, ecological, staff either very nice..
..or very grumpy, depends on the person, little bit more info about tulcea would have been nice
Location! Seeing the fountain from the room and the rainbow at sunset.
Check your note at the restaurant! At breakfast, they tried to overcharge me ("It was the computer's fault, not mine, i typed correctly your order"). Problem was solved in a few minutes. Still, not a pleasant way to start your day.
the view: it's towards the lake. the location: it's on an island of it's own. The food: they have a restaurant above the water with good fish The comfort: really good, clean. The price: very good for what it offers
The mosquitos at the restaurant at night. They are annoying. Wear some spray.
The toilet was not sanitised, the cleaning lady didn't do his job, there where cracks in the furniture, the noise from outside was very present inside even when the window was closed. I wouldn't recommend the restaurant from the hotel.
Close to rail and bus station
The outlet for the shower is in the middle of the bathroom, thus the floor is so wet when you are in there for other necessary use's.
I loved the location as it is a 2min walk to Tulcea's faleza. The price is reasonable. The staff is very friendly but quite slow in the morning when they have to bring cold cuts to the tables(usually it takes them 30min…).
The walls were kind of thin as I woke up at 6 am due to my neighbour's snoring … The shower water reaches the toilet seat therefore half of the bathroom is soaked. Watch your step as it is very slippery.
Excellent location, lake was lovely
Staff in the Hotel restaurant was amazingly slow. Food was ok.
Location on the lake Very beautiful rooms Good soundproof walls and windows - no sound from the restaurant even if there was a wedding that night.
Excellent value for money. All staff very professional, helpful and polite. Beautiful outlook over the lake. Good traditional food. We will always return when visiting Tulcea.
Low price, clean, position close to the centre
Bad pillows, too thin curtains notwithstanding brithness of the room (not ideal for people who need darkness to sleep). There was no hole in the shower to allow water to flow away, only a small one in the middle of the bathroom, thus anytime you had a shower there was the risk of flooding the whole bathroom
It was nice being on an island and the view over the lake in the evening (with the fountain lit up) was really pretty. Sadly I can't say much else positive about the place - you can see the lake if you don't stay there.
Staff weren't particularly friendly and rooms were basic but okay (ridiculous mis-matching decor though). The rooms were starting to show signs of wear and lack of attention/upkeep. I suspect this place might start to get quite grotty in the next few years. Where this place really fell down was the restaurant. We had to wait 1.5 hours for our dinner!!! No apology or even bread to keep us going! And when it arrived the quality was absolutely appalling. Worse than what you'd get at your local Weatherspoones. Just lots of fried cardbroad. Breakfast was sadly no better, and made worse by a group of about 14 people that had clearly been up drinking all night. It was a massive dining area - drunken noisey people from the night before should be kept seperate from morning hotel diners. A really really disappointing place. I would definitely not recommend it. I also didn't like the rest of Tulcea. But the Delta is amazing! So you'll probably have to pass through here to visit there.
Perfect location for restaurant.
The restaurant service is not good, and food can be improved on. Very long wait for food ordered as was table service.
