Guesthouse La Despani  

Veramente tutto perfetto e tutto come da descrizione, continuo a pensarci ma non riesco a trovare una sola pecca. Il titolare, Daniel, merita da solo "il prezzo del biglietto", è veramente un grande. Grazie di cuore.

Daniel & Anu were the friendliest couple! As soon as we got there Daniel told us how to get around the city and the best places to visit and to eat at (he was so right!). There was always one of them around for answering questions.They were doing upgrades on the pool and the yard so was good to see that they were always moving ahead. The room, bed and pillow were very comfy. The common kitchen was very well stocked with essentials with a grocery store nearby that we visited everyday for food supplies. Was nice to have our own breakfast then make a lunch for our day trips. We had no trouble finding the guesthouse but followed google maps rather than the walking directions. We walked from the train station and later learned that we could have taken bus#40 or #23 to the Non-stop grocery store then walked a short distance from there.

There was nothing that we didn't like about La Despani! We felt so at home and I wish we would have stayed another day or two.

A really wonderful place with an incredibly helpful family running it. We enjoyed the sauna and I was crazy enough to jump into the pool, which was very refreshing in the middle of winter. Stayed two nights longer than planned because we loved the accommodation and the town so much.

The welcoming family that runs the place, that will make you feel at home. The quality of the facilities and the cleanness of it. All the information that is given to you at check-in is not only important but accurate. You have everything at walking distance except the city center. In order to get there you just ask for a taxi at LaDespani and it will be there in 3 minutes, plus its really cheap to the city and 5 minutes away. Overall, great value for the money and fantastic home feel!

Lovely large room and bathroom, very clean and modern. Everything a 4* hotel would have in Romania but so much better value. Takes about 15 mins to walk to the old town. Lovely traditional Romanian restaurant just around corner from guesthouse and a well stocked supermarket on 2 floors. Owners are so friendly offering to get a taxi and providing a map on the best places to visit. Kitchen and seating area is large and has all the facilities you will need. Nice garden to sit in to eat.

Didn't use the pool - looked as if it could do with a clean but it was the end of the season.

Excellemt facilities - good lounge and kitchen for shared use, even a small pool, best bathroom on this trip, friendly and welcoming hosts. Location sort of between station and old town (actually a little closer to Bartholomeo station). Nice to be able to cook.

The staff were extremely friendly and eager to help and provide information. The guesthouse is located in avery quiet, peaceful location with a swimming pool.

Clean, comfortable rooms, welcoming hosts, and relaxing atmosphere. Book a room here if there are any available - best hotel on our 3 week trip thus far.

Location, but the accomdations easily make up for it. Plus, walking is good for the heart and mind.

We lived in this hotel several days. When we left it we had a feeling that we lived in a house of our friends and not in a hotel. Special thanks to the owners Dani and Anu. We do not forget time machine, sauna and you. Privet!

Daniel and Anu are the best! They make you feel at home and know how to take care of you. The guesthouse is about 20 minute walk from center, but they will call you a taxi anytime and tell the driver in Romanian where you want to go. There is Pharmacy and grocery store very close that you can walk to. The Guesthouse is very secure and safe. There is a wonderful community kitchen that makes it possible to put items in the refrigerator and cook it you want. The kitchen was a great place to use my laptop and have a cup of tea or coffee. We enjoyed sitting outside on the patio talking with Daniel and Anu and other guests and going into their basement after the night air got a little chilly. This place is clean and comfortable.If you are staying in Brasov, Guesthouse La Despani is a must! I could go on and on, but you get the point!!! Would come back in a heartbeat!
