Pension Fronius  

Amazing atmosphere of a medieval castle and hospitality of the hotel's staff.

Somebody recommended the Fronius Pension to me. Back for my trip I went right to that person and gave him a big hug. Fronius was an excellent choice. I was profound impressed by the cleanness, by the kind of high class medieval atmosphere, by the friendly staff, by the attention they give to those small touches which make you smile and feel cozy... And God know how important is that at the end of a hard day at work. Thank you Fronius!

At an excellent rating there are no things I don't like it.

It’s rarely that I can answer “excellent” to all the questions regarding a hotel stay. And that includes many of the famous names I can recall … Fronius ? What can I say? Fronius was a big, big, surprise. And that includes location, staff, cliness, comfort and in top, very important for me (and others I guess) value for the money! If I’ll recommend it to my friends? Yes, from all my hart I did it already. And you know what? They were as happy as I was.

Yes: I did not have time to extend my stay ...

Pension Fronius is a delightful historic building right in the centre of the Citadel. It's got loads of character thanks to beautiful stone walls, wooden furniture, natural materials and art display. Our room had magnificent views over the clock tower.The staff are very friendly and take time for a chat. It feels more like a home than a hotel; very quiet and private.

The duvets weren't of the quality you'd expect for 120 Euros a night. It would also be nicer to have a king size duvet instead of two small ones on a king size bed. The pillows were too high and uncomfortable. The carpet was stained and the shower over the bath didn't have a screen, so water got everywhere. A large walk-in shower would make more impact and be more practical. The bedroom curtain didn't cover the whole (odd) shaped window, leaving a tatty impression.

This is a small wonderful hotel. Sighisoara is a small wonderful old city and staying in this hotel was wonderful. We got the suite Herminia room, which has a great view and comfort. This is not a luxury hotel, but it has a wonderful taste, and many small details that belong in this beutiful medieval old city. Pension Fronius is without a doubt one of the best hotels in this town.

Beautifully restored, tastefully furnished and decorated spacious room in a charming location; friendly, personal service from the hotel staff.

Wonderful staff, unique traditional rooms yet up-to-date, and a great breakfast.also a great location; close to the heart of the Old Town.

It was difficult for non-native speakers to find the entrance to Old Town. We circled the Citadel three times before accidentally finding the poorly marked entrance.

We had a pleasant stay at Pension Fronius. I highly recommend it! The rooms are huge and the bathroom room are gorgeous. The staff was kind and there for anything we needed it. The morning breakfast selection was really nice as well!

The location was first class and staying in a 400 year old villa/pension which was in such good condition was a lovely experience. Viewing the old clock tower was wonderful. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Home made breakfast was a real treat.

Everything was really excellent: location, room design, friendly and helpful staff - could not think of more! Will certainly come back when visiting Sighisoara.

Die Lage ist perfekt und die Ausstattung geschmackvoll

Die Lage der Pension direkt in der Altstadt ist sehr nett. Die Renovierung des alten Gebäudes ist gut gelungen, man hat den Eindruck, dass dies mit viel Liebe gemacht wurde. Die Zimmer waren sehr groß, was die Sauberkeit betrifft, durfte man bei unserem Zimmer nicht genau schauen, das unserer Freunde war jedoch in Ordnung. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist nicht sehr üppig, aber in Ordnung (man kann allerdings Omlettes etc. ordern), der Frühstücksraum etwas eng. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist - zumindest für rumänische Verhältnisse - etwas überzogen. Fazit: ein nettes Haus in guter Lage.

Underbart boende! Vackra rum med väl sammansatt inredning som passar husets långa historia. God frukost med lokala produkter. Trevlig personal!

Un hôtel plein de charme et silencieux. Le petit-déjeuner composé de produits maison et bio est superbe. Un cd ROm souvenir nous a été offert à notre départ une gentille attention pour un souvenir de cette cité médiévale très belle. A refaire

Hôtel un peu difficile à trouver car peu d'indications routières

L'hôtel est très central. Nous avions une très grande chambre dans un cadre calme et reposant. Salle de bain moderne. Le personnel est très aimable.

Le prix est élevé pour les prestations offertes et par rapport aux prix pratiqués en Roumanie. Le rideau dans la chambre est un peu petit et n'hadère pas à la fenêtre laissant entrer la lumière toute la nuit et surtout dès l'aube. Pression d'eau dans la salle de bain un peu faible. Petit déjeuner assez simple par rapport au prix de la chambre.

The atmosphere was fantastic! You get the impression you are in the medieval age again! This pension is located in the old city center in an old house from 1607 and all rooms are decorated in medieval style. The room we got was huge. Nice bed, nice furniture and lots of fantastic paintings not just in the room but also in the eating area. The room was spotlessly clean and the breakfast was really nice with home made salads and jams, as well as home made cakes. Good service!

It was quite expensive for a night (120euro per night with breakfast) for the 5* room. It was the same price written on the wall as we got on booking.com, but while we were cheking out we overheard the receptionist telling to someone who called on the phone that the 5* room was 100 euro. So it was a bit strange that they sell the same room for 120 euro to someone and for 100 to someoneelse.... We had little clothes with us so we had to have some washed and had to pay extra for it (5euro per wash). When one pays 120 euro per night in my opinion can one get that wash for free....

Komfortabel und sehr individuell ausgestaltete, geräumige und ruhige Zimmer in einem mit sehr viel Liebe zum passsenden Detail modernisierten kleinen Stadthaus aus dem 15. Jahrhundert direkt in der Altstadt. Sehr zuvorkommendes Personal. Wir waren rundherum zufrieden.
