The city is nice, the people are nice. But mainly in the center. We found it to be less attractive than we expected. Pretty much all tourist attractions are grouped in the center.
There is a major lack of information regarding public transportation in the city and surroundings. Stops don’t have any posted names, hard to guess where are the stops except for the very central ones. Hard to find convenience stores.
People are willing to help but they are offering conflicting information.
In conclusion, the city/mayor gives the impression that they do not want/like tourists.
Restaurants we ate at were all fine. We had traditional local food, Italian, international at different places.
Hard to get around without own car, particularly for longer distances.
Very outdated and confusing/misleading information online.

I grew up here and haven't visited for two years and the general feeling I got was that it was a bit unkept. New cafes have opened with good coffee on offer. The city though feels clogged with cars and if I didn't have family to come to, I would not visit the it at all.

You can visit it for one or two days.
You can visit it for one or two days. There are some museums, yet they are under renovation and closed. The citadel is worth a visit, and you will find a doll museum inside of it. With more than 400 dolls. There is an excellent international guitar festival in August, worth-attending. So you can plan your visit accordingly. There are a couple of beautiful cathedrals, too.

Lovely city in Romania with a lot to see and to do.
Lovely city in Romania with a lot to see and to do. From an old Citadel, to big Universities (Medical) to a great Park Area with Zoo (in the Forest up on the hill :) ), to pools for the summer time, promenade along the Mures river, Great architecture, lots of places to eat, dine, just have a coffee, malls etc.
Don't forget about museums also and flea market in weekends :)

The city, in the evening, at 6 pm was quite deserted and sad. I couldn't find a proper restaurant in the center which is quite unacceptable. Nice buildings. I fully recommend the Zoo and the park for short/long walks in nature. The park in front of the Zoo includes a great play area for the children. There are bars and terraces where you can eat or simply have a snack. The Zoo was a pleasant surprise. It is very clean and the animals are well cared for, although it is not very big. There is a lot of shadow and benches to sit on
I was expected with fruits, without to ask for it. It is rare that hotels do this normal gesture, only in Poiana Brasov i got fruits.
The room was very big, huuge bed, bathtub, was not put to fill in forms myself, very good breakfast. Excellent view.
I was texted by the GM himself, I was honored by that.
Room with fabulous view. Excellent.
It is always a pleasure to go to Plaza Hotel. The staff is friendly, the room size is very good. The bed is conformable, in the bathroom we had all we needed.
An extra point to the cleaning services, they cleaned the room the second day as it was the first day. They left water, coffee and tea.
The hotel was comfortable, clean, well-furnished, and conveniently located. The staff is helpful and attentive to all needs. The highlight of the stay was the breakfast, fresh, and well-balanced, with a great variety of local foods. I recommend it. First-rate hotel.
Beautiful hotel, the rooms, the bedclothes, everything, it was very clean beautifully furnished.
The staff was super nice and polite. Breakfast was all you can eat and very
delicious. I am fully staisfied with this hotel ,i really can higly recommend it.
The short stay at Hotel Privo has been great. The location was good, the hotel was easy to reach by car and at a walking distance from the city centre. The parking was free and there were plenty of available parking spaces. The breakfast was delicious.
An excellent hotel located around 30 minutes by walking from Targu Mures city center. We received a spacious apartment with very big terrace and nice city panorama. Big free parking near hotel, nice staff, good breakfast.
Locarion right in the heart of the city. Private parking is also a great plus, apartmant that we booked was very spacious, modern and clean.
The Breakfast at the bistro near the hotel was also very good.
Nice place, close to the city centre and way better than a hotel room.
If I'll visit that city again, it will be definitely the first option what I'll check.
DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!
Spectacular hotel, with spectacular room. One of the nicest rooms in this price range I have ever stayed at. If it was double the price it would still be good value for money.
