The hotel is unique and charming. The shower was wonderful. I ate dinner in the restaurant at the hotel. It was yummy. Would recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

Nice garden, house well refurbished
We came on saturday. R The garden was devoted to weddind photos (at least four weddings) Music in the garden from 6am to 11 pm!! Strongly heard in our room
Location, clean rooms.
over the weekend breakfast is available only after 9AM which is not very convenient for travelers who need to continue travel that day.
Parking is a problem, but the staff took care of it!
Hotel Poesis does not live up to a 4 star rating. At best it would be pushing to get a 3.
The bed for 2 people only had 1 single blanket big enough for one person. We had to ask reception to get a blanket for the 2nd person. The restaurant was definately not up to 4 star rating. Our meals were overcharged and when we questioned this we were told prices had recently been increased but the English menu prices hadn't been updated. The waiter asked us if we wanted to order a drink but he hasn't given us a wine menu. When we asked for one he said he didn't give us one because it was in Romanian, which we found very presumptuos as he did not know if we could spesk the language. When we ordered a bote of wine, he poured it without first checking if it was OK. The swiss potatoes that were included with the meal were the same as the common frozen varieties and definitely not ehat you would expect in a 4 star restaurant. Breakfast had to be pre ordered the night before by making up to 6 selections from a limited list. It was definately the worst breakfast in our 7 weeks of travel through the Balkans. When we paid for the room on our credit card in the morning we were overcharged by 200 leu and then the receptionist had great difficulty trying to reverse the transaction. This was also the most expensive hotel we stayed at during our 7 weeks and did not provide the quality or service of the 2 and 3 star hotels we have stayed at. Break
I loved the staff, very polite friendly and helpfull in spite of some staff shortage. The manager vas visible and againn extremely helpfull and friendly. The hotel is beatifull and I will recommend it to evryone. And shell I return I vill stay there again
that I could not stay longer
The food is great The rooms are nice and clean The location is near the center
The stuff should smile...they really dont smile at all, but the service is good
Initially the shower, but most of the figures didn't work on it. Except the radio and lights. Staff was very helpful and polite.
Most of the features of the shower not working and the food was sub par.
Clean, sympatic, modest hotel. Small private parking just bellow hotel windows.Good restaurant, exelent food and perfect staff. English speeking very helpful recepcionist. Great prices!
The hotel style, unique.
Excellent refurbishment of an old building and nice decorations. Staff very helpful.
There is only a street parking. Room was looking better on pictures than in reality.
Room was really spacious on the 2nd floor, a kind of mansard but with a high ceiling. Classical furniture. Beautiful courtyard, tasty food in restaurant
The lift takes you to the 1st floor and you have to continue up the stairs. The breakfast included in the price one must pick from a list, which is ok but within the limits of 6 positions, also including butter, bread, water as separate units. And what was called fruits turned out to be rather unripe orange hard to peel that I asked them to slice at least. And the waiter did it in front of me in an aristrocratic manner with a serving knife - that required a lot of efforts from a poor guy
Vey nice building and interior. Superb service and food in the restaurant
Quality of handles and knobs were bad, you really had to watch out not to pull them off...
Being charged 16LEI( $5 )for a glass of mediocre white wine with only 2 fingers of wine in the wine glass. Don't enjoy ripoffs
