Ramada Plaza Bucharest    

- Close to Romexpo; - Nice Staff; - Nice general Conditions; - it really needs a better surrounding, they could surelly improve gardens, streets lights, and maybe, being far from the city downtown and historic center, a free shuttle 1 or 2 times a day could be a great improvment...

- Great location to visit Romexpo, but poor if we would like to visit(by walking) other interesting points as the city center; - Poor surroundings, not pleasant to walk at night; - Charged 50€ for 2 hours in the executive lounge? way too much on the local economy...

The employees at the reception and the room service were very friendly and always supportive. Showed very nice flexibility for check out - one hour extra without a charge.

The atmosphere in the breakfast room could be improved. It's more like a station restaurant.

The room was nice and i liked the calm atmosphere.

Breakfast buffet and the room menue did not have enough choices, poor choices.

Hotel was very nice and well maintained.

Hotel staff are corrupt. We inquired at the front desk about purchasing a city tour. We were told that the charge would be 25 lei (local currency) for each of the 7 members of our family. We agreed. The next day we were picked up by a driver in a mini van. He could neither speak English or give us any idea of what sites he was driving us around to. When the 2hr "tour" ended the driver wanted 25 EUROs per person. When we refused to pay, the driver called the Ramada staff member who arranged the tour. Not surprisingly, the Ramada person insisted I pay the 25 euros per person (175). I have since been told this is common in Bucharest and that the hotel staff are involved in trying to swindle tourist. While I wouldn't find it surprising at a local hotel, I was shocked to experience it at a major reputable chain like the Ramada.

Design and cleanliness

I booked the accommodation 3 weeks before my arrival and I booked a non smoking room. Upon arrival I was informed the non smoking room was not available!!!

Very helpful staff

Very convinient location if your business is in Romexpo. During the first night of our visit we were impressed by the quietness of the room.

During the second night of our stay (second floor) there were continuous noises as if coming from a kitchen (dishes washing? Forks/knives washing?) - very annoying. Additionally there were mosquitos in our room, although the room window could not be opened in fact.

The hotel is on walking distance from RomExpo which was our primary reason for selecting it.

This hotel is close to the convention center, there is lack of restaurants or other shopping or sightseeing around,good hotel for short stays but not recomended if you want to travel to the city for any reason.

Sehr komfortable Zimmer, angenehme Atmosphäre, gutes Service.

Personalul de la receptie mi-a refuzat destul de nepoliticos cateva cereri uzuale, ca de ex sa mi dea la telefon un cod pt internet, insistand sa cobor sa l iau de a receptie, pe motiv ca poate il tastez gresit. Nici nu au vrut sa ia in calcul modificarea datei unei nopti din cele 6 nopti deja platite. Clar nu as mai sta la acest hotel, desi Ramada e un lant hotelier bun.

Temperatuur op de kamer hogere etages te warm. Nov. : airco aan.

Es war alles zu meiner zufriedenheit, ich war etwas überrascht über den guten Kompfor für den Preis.
