The thing we liked the best about staying at the Transylvania Cowboy Cottage is the location, as it was only a 10 minute walk into the main centre. Anything closer then that would have been much more expensive. The owners were very friendly as well. The room was quite full on - completely decorated head to toe in cowboy related items which was interesting. It had a lot of furniture and wonderful rocking chairs for us to relax in at the end of the day.

There are a few things you should know before you chose to stay here: It is definitely not a hotel so if that is what you are expecting then you will be disappointed. There is no breakfast served so you have to walk into the main square to find a cafe. Secure parking was available but it is a tight squeeze in and out of the street everyday. There are steep steps leading to the Cowboy room (we stayed on the second floor which I think is called the "Cowboy" room, there is also a separate room on the ground floor) which would be difficult for someone old or a child. There is no air-conditioning and the fan was broken during our stay so it was very hot inside the room, but if the fan was working it probably would have been nice and cool. As long as you are aware of the above then I think you will have a great time staying here and I would recommend it.

We stayed in the Cowboy room and the set up was beyond what you could expect; it was awesome. The location was great: an easy walk to the city centre. But the best part was the hospitality- privacy when you needed it and help when you wanted it. Not only did TC Dorin pick us up from the airport, he also dropped us off at the bus station on our last day. Not to mention the trip to the Turda Salt Mine that he took us on - it was like having our own personal tour guide. We had a lovely day with him and his wife! Definitely recommend

We stayed in the cowboy room and absolutely loved the place. It's very close to the city center, the owners are very friendly, the view is awesome, it is very well equipped and decorated with a lot of detail and the fireplace is so nice and cosy.

Everything. The owner of Transilvania Cowboy Cottage was one of the nicest people I've met, and the family is very friendly and welcoming and makes you feel right at home. The room, I must say, being spacious and outright comfy is an absolute antique masterpiece. I would definitely recommend staying there for anyone visiting Cluj Napoca.

We loved the interior of the room (Hourse room) very much. There is a comfortable kitchen with kitchenware, coffee machine, laundry machine. The bed is very wide. It's quiet at night.

The owners live in the other half of the house but they didn't disturb us at all.

The location is perfect: quiet, but you can reach the city center easily by foot. The decoration is really funny and there is a nice garden. The owners are very nice and friendly.

    The beds were no good.

If you are used with fancy hotels with a lot of extra services, I would not recommend this place. But if you look for a nice place with real nice owners, a uniquely designed room with a wonderful night view looking at the historic center of the city, do not hesitate to try. The TC Cottage is situated in the old part of the city, at 10 minutes walking from the center, at an ideal location if you are a fan of old buildings and history. Even the famous city cemetery is nearby. Parking is also not a problem. The room is quite big, so you will have a lot of place. There is a cooking facility in the room and a fridge also. What more to say; I really liked the place.

Just a remark: if you come by car, it is a little tricky to find the place at the first try, so use a GPS. Otherwise ask the owner for direction; he will be happy to help.
