The cottage was fantastic. It was more than expected and the quirkiness of the whole cottage was extraordinary. The view was breath taking and we immediately felt like home. The couple owning the place were so nice. They were always eager to help in whatever situation you can imagine. Our flight was at 6 am and we asked them to call a taxi but instead at 4 am the patron knocked our door and drove us to the airport himself. Overall, our stay was beyond our imagination. Truly a place I would recommend to everyone. It's not a hotel but a cottage. But for a cowboy it's a five star one!!
The owner waited for us until we came from the airport. He is very kind and the facilities are very comfortable.
A little difficult to find the hostel, but you always can ask to anyone. People are very friendly.
The kindness of the staff.
Really old furniture :( You can smell it.
Excellent location, parking option, friendly hosts. Great spot for a short visit to Cluj
A real cowboy cottage experience in the heart of Transylvania, one of the best places to feel good!!!
All is OK
Great atmosphere, great attention to cowboyesque detail and smells like wood! A true cabin in the middle of a city!
You have to keep the showers short.
Incredible decoration Very kind owners Close to the city centre All pots and pans and facilities you need in a kitchen and in an apartment
Fantastic experince in heart of Transylvania
The thing we liked the best about staying at the Transylvania Cowboy Cottage is the location, as it was only a 10 minute walk into the main centre. Anything closer then that would have been much more expensive. The owners were very friendly as well. The room was quite full on - completely decorated head to toe in cowboy related items which was interesting. It had a lot of furniture and wonderful rocking chairs for us to relax in at the end of the day.
There are a few things you should know before you chose to stay here: It is definitely not a hotel so if that is what you are expecting then you will be disappointed. There is no breakfast served so you have to walk into the main square to find a cafe. Secure parking was available but it is a tight squeeze in and out of the street everyday. There are steep steps leading to the Cowboy room (we stayed on the second floor which I think is called the "Cowboy" room, there is also a separate room on the ground floor) which would be difficult for someone old or a child. There is no air-conditioning and the fan was broken during our stay so it was very hot inside the room, but if the fan was working it probably would have been nice and cool. As long as you are aware of the above then I think you will have a great time staying here and I would recommend it.
Lovely cottage and very welcoming owners! Highly recommendable
We stayed in the Cowboy room and the set up was beyond what you could expect; it was awesome. The location was great: an easy walk to the city centre. But the best part was the hospitality- privacy when you needed it and help when you wanted it. Not only did TC Dorin pick us up from the airport, he also dropped us off at the bus station on our last day. Not to mention the trip to the Turda Salt Mine that he took us on - it was like having our own personal tour guide. We had a lovely day with him and his wife! Definitely recommend
It was very cold. 16 deg at arrival. 18 after 2 days. Not recomended in winter. Bathroom smells not very well.
Very friendly staff. The room is romantic, with very special decoration. I would recommend it for couples.
The Horse room was like a museum and I got to live in it :D
