Good location, close to metro station, banks and close to Unirii. Overall had all amenities even though most were very old and most half broken. The pictures did not much the appartment. The flat was overall clean. However, everything needed serious change as everything were old, smelly and some even not working properly. The carpet was very old and even though you could see it was cleaned, you could see old stains on it, the shower phone was half broken with water going everywhere, the lights were turning on and of few times, the aircondition remote was not working, and the bed duvet was very old which was questionable at the beginning to use.

below standard I had booked a studio but got a room in a 2 bedroom apartment. I had to share the kitchen with strangers. I had zero privacy. My credit card of the company was not accepted, I had to pay cash, This is against our company policy.

Big rooms with comfortable beds. There was no hot water. In the morning I left it pour for more than half an hour until I gave up and made a shower with cold water.

1) The quilt cover to the bed was absolutely filthy. It had stains on it and this was very off putting to sleep on. (2) |Also, I had to pay the guy in Euros (91 euros) as soon as I arrived. He wanted payment in cash but the booking email beforehand said credit cards were accepted. So I had to rush out the next day and meet him the next day. The guy on the other hand was very pleasant and good natured. (3) The receipt for the payment was shown in the local currency (ron) which I didnt understand and showed taxes paid for the room.

Well what we liked the best was the location. Really that's about it since the 2 TVs and the shower weren't working. Well the decor was horrendous, the shower wouldn't get warm after 2 hours and both TV's wouldn't work. No one spoke english when we called to get directions to the hotel. They didn't keep their promises to us about having a comunicator in english available.

Marian, the coordinator, was very helpful in arrival arrangements, staying beyond published closing time to handle apt turnover. Did not have exact location/public transit options for booking office &/or rental unit, in advance. Arrival anxiety was overcome via cell[phone contact.

Good location (near shopping center, a lot of fast food options nearby), attractive price, silent on the west side, nice designed rooms, new and clean towels and bed sheets The cleanliness can be improved (doors, windows, bathroom, bath tube), the lavatory almost totally clogged, too less toilet paper for two persons and two days, no soap, very muddy near the block entrance. The drawer in the lobby was noisy when opened and could be solved only by pasting a rubber pill on the wall

The location is good, 10 minutes to the historical center. The staff was helpful. The apartment was nicely decorated, but it wasn't clean. One of the rooms smelled badly of cigarette smoke, although we asked for a non-smoking room.

It was clean and had wifi. Despite the radiators were hot, it was cold in the room at night. Perhaps because that was the coldest night in Bucharest, this winter.

Complex Unid is not a hotel, but a series of studios with central location in the city ( in communist type buildings "bloc" most of the time), so don't expect services like breakfast or reception, but if you need directions or you have questions, you have a phone number available and I'm sure the owner will help you with informations as much as possible). I stayed only one night in g11 studio, next to Cismigiu Park, everything was functional (tv, hot water, kitchen facilities....), clean, quiet, not too far from metro station Universitate, so good access to embassies and other central offices(and to tourist attractions, if interested). Purpose of my trip to Bucharest: visa application. Good value for money for a budget trip.

Staff was wonderful cause they went to take off at the airport at a lower price than a taxy and bring directly to the apartment. Apartmnent was clean, and nothing was missing. Wonderful central position, five minutes walkng from the old town. As many of the buildings in Bucharest, this was a Ceasescu's era complex, and it was grey,in bad conditions and even if we were two men it seemed lacking in security. Nothing happened but the lift and the lacking of lights gave us a strange insecurity sensation.

Excellent, 8.9
Score from 90 reviews
“I recommend the Hotel Tempo to any traveler to Bucharest. The hotel staff are extremely helpful in giving directions, arranging for airport transportation, or recommending good places to eat in the area. The free breakfast is ample, and the staff will prepare omelets to choice. The rooms are not "cookie cutter" shaped due to the design of the hotel; each is different. This is a good, small hotel for pleasure or business trips to Bucharest. Its location is within walking distance of the major shopping and tourist areas.” John, Austin, Texas |
