Hotel Unique  

Friendly and helpful staff especially Claudiu who was very professional, sympathetic and funny. And also the owner lady. Good breakfast, spacious and comfortable room, good pillows and bed. We enjoyed our stay in this little business hotel.

The hotel parking place is too small, just for only two cars.

Great hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Handy for downtown Bucharest and I would like to have stayed on to see the various museums etc in the city. Definitely good value for a medium priced hotel and small enough to be friendly. I also loved the quirky architecture.

The hotel is in a great location near the Piata Romana, which is one metro stop away from Piata Universitarii, the heart of Bucharest and where the 1989 revolution took place. It is so near to everything and yet tucked out of the way on a side street, so it is quiet at night. The room was very neat and clean, and the hot water pressure was excellent. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful. They all spoke fluent English. And the price was amazing for the location and style. I certainly felt like a 4-star guest in this 3-star hotel.

Nice small hotel near center of the city. Very helpful and nice staff. Room had space and was comfortable. Breakfast was good. Enjoyed this hotel.

simplicity and welcoming

This hotel exceeded our expectations. Originally we had wanted to stay in the Old Town, because we are tourists. We did a lot of research and I was worried about the level of noise and safety of those areas, so chose Hotel Unique for two reasons. It appeared to be centrally located, but on a safe and quiet street. It was recently rennovated. The wonderful surprise was just how centrally located it was! a 2 minutes walk to Piazza Roma was fabulous! and just how modern and comfortable the room was, given the fantastic price. We are definitely champaigne tastes with a beer budget and I was so impressed with every element of the hotel. On business we have larger hotel budgets so are familiar with luxury and travel. This hotel truly is unique, including the luxurious multiple jets of the showers. The staff were absolutely wonderful. Anyway who pays twice the price for the 'other' hotels, on business or pleasure, hasn't experienced Hotel Unique. Once you do, you will never stay anywhere else again. I will tell every Canadian I know that if they are going to Bucharest, this is the most wonderful place to stay in. I wish you had a chain all over the world, so I didn't have to spend so much time on research!

Your neighbor is a bit of a freak. Apparently the institute of some rich person is the building. The fella was a gate keeper of sorts that took his job a tad to seriously. We made the mistake of stopping the vehicle in front of him. There was a no stopping sign, but we only needed 1 minute to take our bags out of the vehicle. He was screaming so much, we moved immediately.... just backed up so he didn't consider it a violation. He kept screaming even when we were taking the bags out of the vehicle. We knew he didn't have anything to do with the hotel, but clearly they need some sedatives or something because that guy looked like he was going to have a heart attack. Nothing you can about that I guess. It is the city after all. But shyer clientelle may have existed, stage left.

Excelent room, spacious and very clean, very helpful and polite staff, less than 5 minutes from Piata Romana (metro aso).

pretty clean , perfect location and smiling staff

Small hotel, new, very clean. Nice breakfast already early in the morning. Rooms are spacious, in modern style; good shower and friendly receptionists. Great 2 pers. Bed, especially because it was not formed by 2 one person beds next to each other as in lots of other hotels, with an annoying space in the middle - flat screen, minibar....

Well it is central located but the street has a lot of 'old glory' houses and villas that are quite shabby now.

Nice place, great large and extremely clean rooms. Great and allways helpfull staff.

It was nice and clean hotel.

The staff at breakfast wasn't kind and friendly. The receptionist offered us a trip in the city. She miss leads us, and neither she nor the manager took responsibility for it. The trip he took us was very expensive. Wasn't worth the price.
