The host family was so nice with us.
It is quite close to the downtown (that isn't very hard in Subotica as the city is quite small), and very close (just 5 minutes walking) to a great regional tavern-restaurant (the same street, just further down). The guy in the reception was extremely kind and the room was clean and comfortable.
WiFi might be stronger. It worked only in some spots in the room.
-the brekfast -the tips and calls of the staff to know bus/trainhours -well situated (just max 10 min to the city centre)
the really noisy neighbours (earplugs are recommended, if the neighbours are loud), then it's allright.
- good value for money - friendly and helpful staff (but no English) - 10 minutes walk to city center
- breakfast - our room was right next to the street, so you better sleep with closed windows or use earplugs :)
Very friendly and proficient staff speaking good english. Good accommodation for sleep and rest with excellent price/ quality level. I saw that Serbian people are most friendly everywhere on town. Clean and safe place on my mind.
Nothing bad to say
Superb staff reception perfect at time-keeping, among other qualities. We asked for Breakfast (included) at 8:30am and was promptly served at that time. Same with the taxi ride booked for 11:00am the date of departure; no reminder was needed from us. Very attentive, and super friendly. Spacious rooms with all amenities needed. Room was spotless with ultra-fast WiFi connection. Very nice courtyard inside the hotel to just be able to briefly leave the room and taking in some fresh air.
Though not extremely far, it is just barely outside the city centre; leaving one with very few restaurant options
friendly personnel, parking on site (you not to be worry about car), good price
The staff was really nice, they even personally brought me breakfast. The room was comfortable (except I was cold, but you can adjust the thermostat).
My room smelled like smoke. The directions I got weren't good, so I took a taxi (which was cheap). It's not too far of a walk, but when you don't know where you are, it's not so good. If you have a problem with meat, dairy, or gluten, don't do breakfast.
The staff was very polite. Cleanliness was excelent. The courtyard was well arranged and clean, excellent place for cars or other vehicles.
Breakfast is served in the room. A central breakfast room is missing. The staff speaks local language only, but they tried to do everything to contact the guest.
everything was beatifull
Nice, friendly place. I got 'welcome' and 'goodbye' local shot 'Slivovica' which a very nice step from the owner. Very clean and traditional breakfast included
Owner does not speak English Located about 20minutes walk from the train station and around 15 minutes from the city centre
Cheap and very nice! Great welcome.
The atmosphere was informal and frienedly. The owner was extremely helpful and had a good command of English - he ordered me a rose for my wife and reserved a restaurant table as well. His father greeted us more like a family friend than a guest. It was very convenient for the city centre, just a short distance from where the city begins to look pretty.
The room was cold (16) when we arrived, though it warmed up by the time we returned in the evening (20). It was very basic and the shower was small for a large adult... especially for picking up soap! A city map would have been helpful, as GPS does not work in Szabadka.
Close to the town centre, and there is a nice pub and a small supermarket next door. If price is the most important for you, this might prove to be a good choice. Now there is a sign with the hotel name on the house, too. Like other travellers, I was also offered some very strong drink at breakfast on the first day (I don't know whether this should go to the positive or negative column, though.)
Although I notified them at my booking about my arrival time, when I arrived, there was no one at the reception, which is itself very tricky to find, with no signs at all, looks like just one of the guest rooms. So I went to the pub next door, where staff and guests were all trying to help me but of course they couldn't. So after half an hour I went back and found the "reception". I couldn't explain what had happened, since the gentleman does not speak foreign languages (not the ones I speak, anyway). He was really nice though, but this incident was not a very good welcome. Reception does not work all the time, actually, I could never find anyone there except breakfast time. WIFI was OK, but the TV didn't work. Air conditioning was awfully noisy. Breakfast was really boring, and it was served in the infamous reception room. At checkout, I was asked to pay an "approximate" amount in dinars, and got no receipt. I wonder if I was registered at all, which could be a serious problem in Serbia.
Clean, quite place, 15 minutes walk from city center.
